That's a start.  Also remove pilot coveralls for BH and increase the price of the license so if you do get caught doing illegal shit it will cost you

So i upgraded 6 houses fully, 1 with a ageing barrel, 1 shed upgraded full except for the 100k physical for 900 storage, 1 house to 1500/200 and another shed the same and it totaled to 700k. Not as bad as i first thought BUT still seems weird paying for the same amount of virtual i already would have had.

Money making has really improved.  No more dynamic market + no fear of server crashes made it easy to make like 300k tonight without even really trying.  Glad the server is in a playable state again

Tbh glad bounty hunting is gone right now.  It use to be an art before everyone got 6.5 and pilot coveralls.  Now most of you just hunted people with low bounties and honestly that kills the server more than anything else

We've found the issue but Jesse had to leave for a work meeting. Should be fixed when he gets back (around 2 hours).
  15. Kawaii liked a post in a topic by Sean That Irish Guy in New housing.
Let me start off by saying the new housing update is a massive improvement from what we had beforehand and i dont wanna seem to premature about making posts about V2 when it just went live but i feel like its better to get it out of the way before everything is set in stone and some people are questioning the new upgrade prices.
Before V2 everyone was custom to buying a house for 70k, 120k, 150, 220k etc and then buying multiple crates whether they be small or large. But now from what im gathering the house is basically one big crate which isnt a bad thing at all, but upgrading the storage space itself is where i can see there being an issue.
Right now every house starts off with 100 phys and virtual and to get more you need to upgrade and it seems quite expensive if you add up owning 10 houses, max you can own.
220k 3 crate house before v2 selling at market price including crates would cost you 280k all in, times that buy 10 assuming you have all 220k's, thats 2.8mill for 10 houses.
Now, if you buy a 220k and upgrade it 5,15,30K for phys and 5, 35, 55K for virtual, thats 3.6mill for 10 houses.
Why is there such a big increase for v2?
Now im not mad or upset by this, i like the addition of paying for storage upgrades but i just think the pricing is a little steep right now and should maybe be addressed before anything with v2 is set in stone. You guys have been transparent throughout the development of things so im sure you'll state your reasons and address any concerns.
Forgot to tagged the big bois: @Jesse @Clint Beastwood

This alone should be a huge buff so long as prices weren't reduced.  The dynamic market system made money making pretty bad compared to pre-6.0

Yep. Even hotfixes every day, or once a week, or etc. Bug bounties when replicated with video evidence, etc.
I wish there was a clever way to talk about Asylum's slow methodology for development. I just find it hilarious they are stealing plays from Paratus' playbook so commonly. I wouldn't want to model anything after Paratus in terms of development IMO. I also haven't been a developer though, so I have to assume it's incredibly stressful and difficult based on how many blunders the public has seen. Then you have ungrateful people being snarky, and everyone being pessimistic and an asshole. I try to stay positive, and I can't wait to express my gratitude should V2 release at some point.
Sorry if this comes off as disrespetcful, but also the one thing I'll never understand until I suddenly enjoy computer programming over networking is: "Hey, lets make our work as opaque as possible." It's quite the opposite in the latter field. Why can't we just get more information??? What specifically is holding back V2? Jesse's schedule? Clint's approval? Easy unloggable exploits? (just examples not being serious)
We just want more specific communication. I don't think the community is a bunch of bumbling apes enough to not understand: "Hey, we need our cleanup script working, and to fix this exploit that allows people to dupe money easily, and to update our database with all the donor and player info before V2. Here's a post with a checklist and when we complete each one. We'll update if anything causes delays."
Props to @Azeh and @Gen. Henry Arnold for at least responding to specific questions others and myself ask in regards to specific features. Just wish we had a proper deadline, but at this point everyone outside the admin and dev team thinks the reputation for meeting deadlines is completely busted. Personally I'd be setting more easy to attain deadlines, to build trust back up. Maybe that's caring too much though. In fact a lot of people will think my posts are caring to much. I just miss Asylum, and it seems within reach of popularity again. It'll never be as good but I can hope for a strong comeback.
Btw, Paratus is latin for: ready for either alternative. What a meme.

V.2 was working fine for most of us. I figure pushing it out and having hot fixes every few days would be better than nothing.

    So wait, you need to...
    1. Gather Materials
    2. Create New Make Scotch
    3. Age to 15 year Scotch in barrel
    4. Take it back to the Distillery and process to 25 year?
    5. Then sell it at Wongs

If so, LMAOOOOOOOOOO. Just remove it.

Weapon crafting needs to come back.  Keep the dynamic market system out.  Other than that I think V2 is pretty solid and I have absolutely no complaints.
  23. Kawaii liked a post in a topic by Dr_Dingleberry in V2 won't save the community, only YOU will
The server not crashing constantly will undoubtedly help breathe life back into the community. However, the fact that Arma 3 is now approx. 6 years old means less and less new people will be looking for Altis Life servers. Along with that due to the past state of the servers all of those new people who tried to play are further discouraged to ever try and play on Asylum again, especially so if they don't follow the progression of v2 on the forums.
I'm just re-stating what has already been expressed on here multiple times over. If you think the individuals who still play on the servers are at fault for any past/present/future failures of server/community revival I, and I'm sure many others, disagree with you completely. I'm glad you voiced your opinion though.
