  1. They've left it too long now anyway, everyone who did play Tanoa most likely wouldn't come back and even if they did, it wouldn't be the same. "It's a proven low pop server" yeah well the Altis servers have been exactly that during the past few months with none other than server 1 peaking over 40-50 players yet you keep them alive... The fact that they won't listen to the community has only gotten them in a mess. I mean look at STRIFE, one of their ideas that had totally failed and ended up putting in more money into the economy than Tanoa did.
  2. you should step down ngl i had solid evidence of RDM, he even admitted it, yet "it wasn't enough proof"
  3. nice pc specs but shit cable management and setup tho
  4. B250 boards don't allow CPU overclocking. Even if they did, they're aimed at lower end processors hence their budget price and budget build quality. Again, you can't overclock on B250. Even if you somehow managed, you'd never achieve 5GHz, the board wouldn't be able to cope. 5GHz is also very hot as you have to crank up the voltage, something which a hyper 212 evo wouldn't be able to handle. That is a good SSD, SanDisk are decent. Waste of money, can't overclock on B250. Games largely rely on single core performance. The difference between the same generation i5 and i7 is very small meaning it wouldn't be a worthy upgrade. Doesn't make sense to spend $100 more to maybe get a few percent in performance gains. i7s have hyper threading and are more suited to multi-threaded workloads hence why the i5 still has its place. An i5 7600K is a very good performer single threaded wise, I can't see many other CPUs being able to outperform this to a reasonable extent. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html Really isn't much point getting a 1080 if you stick with that monitor. A 1060 would suit that more, a 1070 would be decent. 60Hz will only display 60FPS, something which the 1080 at even ultra settings on most games will easily double. Overclocking it will also just be for pretty little numbers on your screen, your monitor can't display it and all you'll be doing is putting more stress on the GPU, heat wise for no apparent reason.
  5. So why is STRIFE still up? While it isn't atm, it is planned to come back up and that doesn't have any players. Tanoa had much more than 10 players, if you took the time to look before, you'd of seen that.
  6. +1 Not just the same map, but the same machine. Of course it replaced Tanoa.
  7. and so can Tanoa, not everyone likes Altis you know... Strife in its current state also won't be bringing any players. As a game-mode that is player-driven, without players, there is nothing to do and they will simply leave.
  8. All they have to do is add gang limits... Then it would create more competition. Me and my boys also did put up a fight while in Death Row, British Empire and various other gangs we had throughout our later months on Tanoa. As we were the only ones to also do this, it wasn't easy for us financially as we would lose the majority of the time due to us being outnumbered 2-3 fold and we would keep fighting. We made it our mission to take down the MONGOLS. Then Imperium came and also created more competition until many of them turned to bounty hunting. There was definitely little amounts of competition which meant that it wasn't as easy for the dominant gang to continuously make money. Back in the days of Turtle Hunters, there wasn't really any competition, but that was ages ago and this would be an irrelevant argument to fight now. Again, limiting gang numbers would bring police back. One of the reasons they never came on was because they were outnumbered which is fair but limiting gang sizes would really take that fear down in them and end up turning it into their regular patrolling server.
  9. i liek tanoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa @OperatorJohn
  10. I did also, even when Mongols were in power, me and some of the boys offered a challenge, while there was only around 10 of us in British Empire, we still fought against them and gave them a harder time playing. They couldn't do coke all day if we were on just because we'd interfere and they'd know that. Remember when Turtle Hunters or Cocaine Production was in power? The admins literally paid FSA to vest us when doing cocaine to give some sort of chance for smaller gangs to get some of the money. At one point, we were the only threat to them but we simply couldn't afford to carry on fighting 3v10 fights for fun. Drug runners were our only source of income then, which then got nerfed too and the flying mechanics just got worse with one of the newer Arma updates. If the admins wanted a more balanced server, we would have done it silently and made it fair. @noliver@[email protected]@Markus Omari
  11. No one is forcing you to play it, nor will it effect you if it's up. I don't understand why you hate it so much. You can ignore it. If you like Altis, play Altis, simple. I say bring it back, STRIFE was hype for a couple of days but now it's dead as fuck. There were always more players on Tanoa then there has been on STRIFE in the past couple of months or so. The cocaine was already nerfed on there to a point where doing cocaine was questionable for those looking to make a quick buck. A gang limit should also be implemented so that one gang cannot rule the server, that was simply how it was. The dominant gang, Mongols at the time of closing consisted of 30-40+ members which made it harder for new players and ultimately possibly why playercounts were lower than Altis. During Christmas time last year, Tanoa was booming and was full at peak times, just like all Altis servers.
  12. shame you will never leave your desk to care for that bitchhhhhhhhhhhh sounds like some weeaboo ass name bruh
