bamf
Behind every great drug lord is a group of people moving drugs around, and usually this means pilots to fly the drugs from place to place. Coming with today's patch the kingpins on Altis and Tanoa are looking for you if you can fly a plane. Like most drug dealers though, they are not going to just take your word for it that you will deliver the yayo. Be prepared to put up your own money to ensure you will get the drugs delivered on time. Drug trafficking missions have been added to select airfields around both islands. When you take a mission, the drug trafficker will provide you a plane to fly to another airfield where you will load the drugs. Fly back to the original airfield to deliver the drugs and collect your money. If you feel the heat and can't deliver the drugs on time, fly to another drug deal to land the plane and cancel the mission (but remember failure has a price as well). Bug fixes and Misc: Y inventory may be less explosive on death Script restriction #46 kicks should not happen now during restarts Sfaka Arms Cartel location can spawn vehicles now Both Oil Cartel locations are able to be captured now Also, the way we handle restarts has been modified as a test on several of the servers to see if we can fix the server executable crashes. We are testing this, but we hope that it will have a positive impact on server stability. Hotfix 1: Fixed syncing. Hotfix 2: Potential fix for a rare data loss issue. Hotfix 3: Drug runner missions should now fail properly Vehicles may now be purchased with pre-installed alarms. They are sold as optional add-ons when purchasing a vehicle, and will remain on the vehicle each time you pull that vehicle from the garage. Mechanics have been added to civilian car shops to allow you to purchase vehicle upgrades. The system message that indicates a car is being lockpicked has been removed (use a car alarm). Blindfolded APD officers will now have their bodycams disabled while they are blindfolded. The Asylum Exchange has been temporarily disabled Hotfix 4: Money received from drug runner missions will now have traces of narcotics on it for a short period (about 5 minutes). If the APD searches you in that time, then they will seize all the cash you have on hand. Money received from robbing gas stations will now be seizable (again for about 5 minutes). If you are searched, the APD will seize all money you have on hand. Money received from selling drugs to a drug dealer will now have traces of narcotics as well. Again, if you are searched all your money on hand will be seized. Money seized from searches will now split across all online officers. Fixed the garages at all Drug Runner locations so that they properly spawn vehicles. All Drug Runner locations now have a red circle on the map showing the area that you may be shot without typical RP initiation. Hotfix 5: Y inventory items should clean up as expected now Hotfix 6: Red circles placed back on Altis at Drug Runner Tanoa Drug Runner 3 plane spawn repositioned Hotfix 7: Hunting should be more reliable now The phone and inventory UIs should update properly when using or dropping items Drug runner planes are no longer equipped with the ability to auto-land Misc. performance enhancements Cassettes, .Sean, Brendon Smith and 31 others like this Link to comment

Durga
The Airfields with the drug dealers will be treated as illegal areas for officers, only to be patrolled once every 10-20 minutes. This does not mean that they are shoot on sight areas for cops. Initiation is a must! Midamaru, BioHazard, Big Bird and 12 others like this Link to comment
FozzyBear
Nice @bamf great update. Could you go a bit in detail because this confuses me. As example: Do i have to leave my aircraft. do i need to wait on the ground for a certain amount of time ect.. Link to comment
Haych
Assuming those Airfields are KOS zones?, Also hoping the payouts are good, landing a plane is not easy for most Edited August 23, 2016 by Haych explicit likes this Link to comment

It's not a 300m KOS zone. Also, killing people may not be your best course of action at times... Olivia, Sergio, Noble and 1 other like this Link to comment

Some of these are at normal airfields, so you couldn't be sure. Also, there is nothing of value for you to take from the plane itself. Sergio, Haych and explicit like this Link to comment

bamf
Just now, Patrick James said: Do the planes actually have drugs in them? Can the APD search them if they catch one landing? The cargo in the planes is indeed illegal - allowing the APD to search them. Sergio and Olivia like this Link to comment

Cassettes
Sounds like a cool new way to making money, hopefully you can make it into helicopter missions too cause landing planes is hard af, if we crash and burn it I assume we lose the money and have to pay for it, this may discourage most people from it. For next bug fix can you fix the Y inventory - Whenever you drop an item , there is a visual bug in which the item still shows on the phone until you relaunch the inventory app on your phone. @bamf Link to comment

Can the APD search them if they catch one landing? No, if my mind serves me correctly, I would imagine it doesn't have drugs in its inv but it registers you have drugs, just like delivery missions. Mayhem
@bamf are planes suppose to spawn damaged? Link to comment
Paratus
You cannot take the drugs manually out of the plane, but it does have them in there and it registers to police searches. Police can now make trafficking charges against players. There's no upfront cost but instead a fee on failure. As long as you don't mess up, you'll get pure profit.
