Welcome to my guide about how to make money legally for new players to help get a real start on their Asylum life.

Requirements/Recommendations(*):

  • A Speedboat- Boat Shop- $2520 (do not bring the sub)
  • *Carryall Backpack- Clothing Store- $250
  • Wreak excavator- Market- $252
  • *Night Vision Googles- Gear Shop- $92
  • Water- Market- $6 (Food is unnecessary as you can just eat a fish)
  • Wetsuit- Diving Shop- $200
  • Goggles- Diving Shop- $200
  • Rebreather- Diving Shop- $200
  • Diving license- DMV- $200
  • Boating License- DMV- TBD

*Please be aware that as of now I am a level 4 donator so I receive a slight discount on these items so your results may very in price slightly.

*The Items marked with (*) are items that I recommend for best results while excavating.

Once all items have been purchased you must find a shipwreck to scavenge and I have attached an image of the icons on the map that show the locations of shipwrecks (Be aware that you must be at a certain depth underwater to search a wreck so shipwrecks on the shore will not work with scavenging, so as long as the wreck is underwater then you should be fine).

How to Excavate?

  1. Take out your boat from the Boat Spawn to whatever shipwreck you choose
  2. Get out (being sure to lock it behind you)
  3. Dive down to the wreak
  4. Take out your phone (press T)
  5. Select Inventory
  6. Select your wreck excavator

You should then see a message on screen telling you that you are receiving items. The items that your can receive are as follows:

  • Processed oil- $360
  • Cocaine- junk
  • Zip ties- junk
  • Lock pics- junk
  • Gold Doubloon- $123
  • Silver Piece- $105
  • Pearl- $240
  • Ruby- $315
  • Flawless Diamond- $1,200

*Prices may change but these are the current selling prices.

I personally think you should stick to running either Jewelry or oil but in the end it is up to you to make the decision.

If Wanting to make a Jewelry only run:

When you have filled your backpack you should go in the trunk (go to your boat and press T while looking at it) and put in all the Jewelry. You should then get in the boat as a passenger and open your inventory and throw out all the things I have labeled as junk and oil. Be sure to throw out oil because it is taking up space and to sell it would require to much extra effort, you are better off just selling jewelry. Once the boat is filled with jewelry I like to clear my backpack and one last time and scavenge one more time before leaving. After that you can go and sell all the jewelry at the Jewelry Store (it will take multiple trips and be sure to deposit your money after each trip to avoid losing to much if robbed after selling).

Doing this solo you can expect to make about 20k-26k on average every trip which takes about 30 mins.

*The time each trip was recorded with me having the Excavator talent.

If wanting to make an oil only run (times currently estimates and will be tested soon):

When you have filled your backpack you should go in the trunk (go to your boat and press T while looking at it) and put in all the oil. You should then get in the boat as a passenger and open your inventory and throw out all the things I have labeled as junk and all jewelry. be sure to throw out Jewelry  because it is taking up space and to sell it would require to much extra effort, you are better off just selling oil. Once the boat is filled with oil I like to clear my backpack and one last time and scavenge one more time before leaving. After that you can go and sell all the oil at the Commodities Trader (it will take multiple trips and be sure to deposit your money after each trip to avoid losing to much if robbed after selling).

Doing this solo you can expect to make a max of about 90k on average for what is in the boat and a max of about 37k on average for what you bring in your backpack every trip depending on how much oil you decide to bring in your backpack when you go to sell. This job will also probably take about 2 hours for an average total of 97k .

*The time each trip was not yet put to the test but using math and will soon be tested fully

Updates and additions to this guide will be added. Thanks for reading :)

This is true. I will update the guide to include if you want to run oil, but if you run oil you should do just oil since doing both is still really inefficient. like you should run jewelry or run oil not both

oil is 25%-50% of the money, it's really efficient

yes but having to sell at both the commodities store and the jewelry store will take to much. the player should decide to take quick runs on jewelry with lesser risk lesser gain,  or long runs on oil with higher risk but higher gain.

Would just like to add to this as a newcomer using this guide --

If there's a high server population, and not a lot of APD on, would not recommend wreck excavating at Kavala. Go to Pyrgos, go 2.8km southwest by boat, and excavate there. Sneak through the back alleys to the Jewelry shop when done -- there's even an ATM right on the back side of the building.

Reason I'm saying this is because the beach at Kavala to land at is heavily open and watched by petty robbers and lone wolf thieves, just waiting for you to return and follow you to rob after selling to jeweler (speaking from experience). Yes, you're adding about 5 mins to your Wreck Runs by going to Pyrgos, but it's a hell of a lot less risky.
