  • The "Hide Storage" option has been removed.  We are not seeing a reduction in memory when crates are hidden, so I'm removing that option

Why?it was  a good thing to help fix your crates without losing stuff in them.when your crates get shot you can hide them  and press show  again to get them back and do not lose stuff from them like sometimes when you relog .way better than waiting 3 hours for the restart to be sure you have all the stuff in there.kind of annoying when trolls shoot your crates when you are not there and you have to wait for the server restart to get them back since reloging can sometimes wipe the inventory from them.

Also if you want to make sure people do not hide their crates while they are shooting at someone from their house/getting shot at you could make a system like the new car thing where you can't store while in combat

This is why you shouldn't own the house everyone runs true to get to athira gun store. Also just softlog after someone shoots your crates and they'll reappear.

Not talking about a special house.i am talking about the general thing.also if you paid any attention to my post: kind of annoying when trolls shoot your crates when you are not there and you have to wait for the server restart to get them back since reloging can sometimes wipe the inventory from them. it happened before guns vests suits all gone.

Donation Reward Additions in the current Patch:

This needs to be added on to the website alongside every other Donation reward that isn't listed. The donation page is so outdated and doesn't even have half the things you get. Would be nice if everyone knew exactly what they where getting when they donated.

Hi @bamf:

I am currently having an issue with my house containers and thought I would try to give some detail in case it gives clues for your team.

1. Logged in this morning and hit "show containers" on all of my houses.

2. Played 15 minutes or so.  Filled my containers and then logged off.

3. 30 minutes later I logged back on and the crates are hidden.  Now I do not have the option to hide or show my containers making them permanently hidden.  This is persistent across all of my houses.

I have tried soft and hard logging with the same result.  It doesn't give me the option to show or hide the containers, making them permanently hidden for now.  I am not 100% sure, but I believe both of my logins are within the same restart cycle i.e. the server has not reset yet. Maybe it has to do with logging off and back in on the same server cycle?

Anyways hope that helps, thanks for all that you guys do!

They will be back after the restart and be gone when you quit like that some bug the admins need to fix

Same issue. Logged on, running scotch, mem leak, crates gone after restarting arma. Now I just have to wait until next restart :FeelsBadMan:

Hotfix 2:

  • Crates will now be able to be spawned if you have soft logged or disconnected and then come back to the server.  For gang crates, if the person that originally hit "Show Storage" DCs, then someone else in the gang will need to "Show Storage" again to bring them back in.
  • Prisoners will now be able to get their aggression out once again in laser tag
  • MBH tracking message should now show the proper time until you can re-track your bounty
  • Drug runner plane pings should now show an actual message to the APD

I was about to comment that. Isn't it better just to remove the "Show storage" option at all, @bamf? We used to have to play as civ at least once per restart, so scotch could age. Now we gotta drive from house to house and click the storage thing.

Just because you have to log on and actually go to your houses to get scotch to age doesn't make it a problem. It's a minor effort you need to do, scotch is already such an easy way to make money. I think it would actually be more fair this way.

Store your gear>respawn in house or houses with barrels>show crates>return to original location and retrieve your gear>ez pz lemon squeezy

I see your point. Problem is: I have at least 3 houses for scotch, and they're all spread, which makes it harder to access them each server restart. I think scotch has always been very balanced before this patch. Since you have to store them in your houses, there's always a good amount of risk when going to process/store and when going to take/sell. Not every friend wants to escort you, since it takes a fair time to go through all the scotching process. You can either be caught by the police or killed by 'scotch hunters'.

The goal of this new 'Show storage/hide storage' thing was to reduce BattlEye kicks, at my understanding, which didn't happen according to @bamf himself. They weren't planned to affect how scotch works. Either way, let's see how it goes. ;)

Reaching all those houses is easy, respawning ^_^

That's the thing. If I'm all rebel geared at, let's say Sofia, and my scotch houses are close to Kavala, I gotta drive/fly all the way there, store my items in a crate and then re-spawn multiple times. Used to be much more simple just to connect and then play however you wanted to play.

Might sound lazy, I know. But scotch has always been something very-well balanced in Asylum. Might suffer a small nerf with the new 'Show storage' thing. Other options can be studied as well, if the community really liked the new option. For example, make your crates/barrels appear remotely. Just brainstorming though.
