Easiest way to change crates?

If I buy a house and it has a small crate and I want to make it a large crate what's the easiest way to transfer the items inside? I usually just park a truck out front but people have tried to mess with me before when i've done it that way and I don't want to risk the gear in this crate. Any suggestions?

I think that is the only way that you can transfer things between crates. I may be wrong but that's how I have always done it.

Yeah, the only way to do it is have truck outside or any vehicle where you can fit stuff inside, the way you did before.
