I have a pretty simple idea that will make them better for money (which they arent the best for) and more efficient based off of how much time you have before a restart for example. It's already balanced, since longer times give more money already, and shorter times give less. If you have more time, choose the longer routes. If not, the shorter. Sounds pretty good to me.
