VDM is using your vehicle as an OFFENSIVE weapon.

You may hit a player with your vehicle only if they are firing at you, and blocking your direct path of travel. You may not maneuver to intentionally hit a player.

Not only was he blocking his path but was also using the vehicle defensively.

continue arguing when you read it,

Offensive weapon meaning it is used to attack, right? This guy clearly indirectly attacked those guys with his vehicle, by ragdolling and killing them. If that's not an offensive weapon, I don't know what is.

This is the same video you watched right?

Were he hit the Hunter and it flipped?

Where he hit the hunter with his own strider in an OFFENSIVE attack, to purposely ragdoll the enemies and then shoot them right away afterwards?

Dude, wtf are you smoking?

Yes? Explain how he used that as "defensive".

tbh I don't care anymore, if the person that feels as he was VDMed reports it, it will be determined by an admin I'm wasting my time more and more arguing to something that won't matter to me in the future.

Going out of your way to ram a hunter with nobody in it is kind of a grey area. But jumping out and shooting someone you just rag dolled while they are down is not allowed.

lol how long have you been on this server? that is completely false

You can hit an armored vehicle with another armored vehicle at any time. And I did not run over the people, their hunter technically ran them over. But either way it doesn't matter.

The guys at the hunter were strictly shooting at the Hemmit. He then came on road into the path straight to the Hunter rammed the guy sitting in front of it and proceeded to get out and shoot the guy he hit? Anything else you need me to clarify. I believe you could see it but thats your choice.

It does not matter. Its not like i hit a hatchback sport. If you hit an armored vehicle with another armored vehicle, you are not VDMing. Period. Welcome to Asylum.

That rule is for general vehicles. Not armored vehicles.

Firstly, the rule of ramming armor into armor is pretty questionable. It should really only be for initiated people, but you guys were already initiated anyway, so it doesn't really matter. If an admin sees this post, please fix the rule. It's really bullshit.

@Quenton, you really can't use the excuse "they saw me coming for them and it's their fault" because it's never their fault for something like that. They had the choice to do whatever you wanted, and you can't blame someone for not doing something you would do. In my mind, it's completely your fault because you decided to ram them and you knew they were behind the hunter. Even if that's true however, since all you did was ram the hunter, and they were hit by it, you should be permitted to finish them while ragdolled, since they were hit by the hunter, not you. In my opinion, this should be unpunished since there is no actual rule on it. The result of this situation will probably provide clarity for this kind of encounter for any future incidents like these, meaning other people probably would be punished if the same thing happened to them afterwards. There is one token of luck you got in this situation though. Had that first guy not gotten into the hunter, and he got hit, that would clearly be VDM. He was already standing there, and you would've hit him before the hunter when he stood his ground. That would be a punishable offense. But hey, that's not actually what happened. Lucky you.

Overall, you were not necessarily in the wrong. There's currently no rule on it, and you got lucky with the driver getting inside. In the future, once this situation is settled by @Olio, if this were to happen again, it most likely not be allowed. This time, however, you're probably going to get away with it. It's a gray area, as if someone else ran them over, then you shot them.

Okay kiddie listen here. I broke no rules. No rules are going to be fixed, because nothing is broken. Whether I was on the road or used nitrous to snipe them with the strider from 1km it doesnt matter. Armor vs Armor is allowed. They were ragdolled as a result of trying to continue to shoot at the HEMMT while standing in the middle of the road and made no attempt to move from my target, which was obviously the Hunter. You can say whatever you want about how its "my fault", but seeing how I did nothing wrong, their really is no fault. Play on the server for a little longer before coming in here and acting like your an admin and know absolutely everything.

This happens at arms when it's ifirit vs. ifirit and VDM bans seem to always follow suit. Are the career cops held to the same standard?

Rather than me creating a new variation of a rule. I'm going to forward you to this.

I'm also locking as it has turned away from the original intended reason for posting. I don't see the value left in leaving it open at this point.
