Edit: Changed the topic rather then make a new thread. You guys are always so helpful.

Anyways, I was trying to find reviews on Cyberpower PC's warrenty to see how it is but I couldn't find much. There website states the following:

" Warranty Coverage - Company warrants to the original purchaser that the Product(s) shall be free of any defect in material
or workmanship for a period of three years for labor and one year for parts from the date of the original invoice from
Company. Company shall have the sole discretion in determining whether Product is covered under the warranty for labor
and/or warranty for parts. Should the Product(s) supplied by Company prove defective by reason of improper workmanship or
material as reasonably determined by Company, Company agrees,  at its option, to either repair or replace the Product free
of charge, excluding any shipping or handling charges. "

- Which basically says if they deem it okay theyll replace it otherwise good luck. (Unless im stupid).

+ TLDR: Anyone know firsthand or have experience with their warrenty's?

My first real PC was an alienate Aurora r4 I still have it after many many years literally have some zero maintenance to it besides cleaning dust and putting in a new graphics card. Honestly if you are buying a computer now I hear it is the way to go to do a prebuilt. The only thing I didnt like was the wait to get here.

The one bad thing I heard about certain companies is they will use not the most known/best brands on things like your psu, ram etc. That's where they save money.......

I got mine from https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/.  Reasonably priced compared to building it yourself given the warranty.

Cost £2.2k total,  parts alone worked out around 2K if I was to build it but got 2 years warranty for everything including parts.

Only issue I had was a harddrive fail within a few weeks of getting it but they sent out a replacement without much hassle.

Ive built three my self over the years and it has always done me good but nowadays it would cost me more to take time to build it then it would to just show up to work and have someone else build it.

Yeah I had a feeling when they title everything with "Professional Brand" lol

Really is the best way to go at the moment with GPU's being severely overpriced.

I would probably wait until they released the 1170 anyways but I just like to get a game plan before this kinda thing rolls out. If the prices are jacked up on rebuilds at the time of the 1170 release I may just build it my self otherwise prebuilt if theres reputable vendors

I got my current PC from Bestbuy for about $100 cheaper than building it myself. Saved myself the hassle of actually building it and saved myself money. Good deal. Haven't had a single issue with it so far either, though I've only had it for a year.

Have any of you ever purchased a pre-built PC:

- If so where and how was your experience.

- Did you ever end up needing to use any of the warrenty, and if so how did that go.

Thank you

The good thing is with company's that pre-built computers are that the company deals with the broken parts and setup of your PC not only that is maybe 10% more expensive but at least you know that every component  will be in full working order before it is sent to you.

Yeah, thats a big thing for me nowadays. I just can't spend all that time gathering individual parts online or driving to microcenter to find out one is acting fucky either right away or down the road. I like the idea that you can just contact one source for it all

Thats because there's an NVIDIA conference that should be happening (today I think?) to announce the official release date of the 11 series cards. They also promised to get stock on the 10 series cards and moving forward they would get more cards in gamers hands for the new 11 series

Not that overpriced anymore. GPU prices are almost back down to what they were before.

True,

But still way overpriced considering the fact we are about 1 month separated from the release of the 11xx series.  If you looked at prices of the 9xx series before the 10xx series dropped they were sub 500 for 980GTX and low 600's for 980Ti's

Learning specs, watching youtube tutorials, having parts come in individually, then finally building your PC is a pretty fun experience. It's cheaper as well.

BUT, there can be a lot of headache is one thing goes wrong. If a part comes in faulty, or you place something wrong, it can be really irritating trying to figure out what is wrong.

Safest option is buying

Well ive built three on my own, loved every minute of it and had no issue's. The problem lie's with the fact that I just got promoted at work and in two weeks I a bat shit schedule and I was thinking to my self either I need to build a pc now or look into buying one prebuilt because I won't have the time after that.

usually I would agree but with the price of memory right now some prebuild are worth it imo. Saying that stay away from the likes of dell etc, just buy a prebuilt pc of a reputable online/local seller.

The PC i have was a pre-built

I was knew to computers when I got it, way back in 2014.

In came with a HUGE dent in the side, we were told we couldn't get a new one because we opened it (no way of knowing it had a dent without opening it?)

I have had to get parts fixed/upgraded quite a few times.

Overall, if you CAN make a PC, I would. It's a lot better because you know whats actually in there and if its produced to a good standard.

God that sound like a nightmare.

- I can build a PC with my eye's closed but its just the area I have to work with it would take me 3 or 4 hours to get it built and installed properly so I was thinking in terms of 4 hours working vs 4 hours building.

Ill post the number of a comparable build in a second here  - you kinda get forced into buying a GPU though which would be kind of stupid to buy a prebuilt right now with the 11 series coming out. (Although I could just give the 1070ti to my brother or something)
