This is something that may be overlooked by the devs, but it is a real hindrance to immersion and being able to effectively roleplay with the phones. Link to comment
Silver-Spy Posted July 28, 2018 Report Share Posted July 28, 2018 Initiating face to face is a deathwish for the bounty hunters.Best and most suitable way is to text them to out their hands up.This way not only are you initiated with him but also his group members. The system has been there for a long time and there shouldn't be a need to change anything regarding it. Link to comment

He's saying that he got a text message but then a fugitive update popped up over top of it so he couldn't read the message. but, like the others said, @Lazy7Cynic, you can look at sidechat to read your text messages too. "Fugitive ___ has been spotted sdfkjbdsnjkfsd" also overrides the window when you search someone on cop. Would be a nice QoL change if that didn't happen. Sure, there's a way to read the text, but it isn't exactly optimal. By the time you see the notification, it gets overtaken, then you try and read it in sidechat, welp, there goes your 5 seconds.
