that sounds like an easy solution to me too. But for any house we don't want "owned" it has to be done individually with each house. NPC shops is already going to be a nightmare for the devs to sift through im sure. I can't imagine the rest of the map..

yes that is an option. But more what's the max stress etc. I am picturing a full server with all the houses owned with all full inventories being accessed in different ways at different times. Essentially an environment that can really only be obtained on a live server that isn't being done just for testing. More to come on that

The issue that is currently being discussed is the hit to server performance. For the sake of explaining it here easily. It can be amounted to essentially doubling the amount of houses that need to be loaded by the server. It's unknown the performance hit it would take to do so. And it would be infuriating for many to buy the house and then have to loose it. And for those at max house cap, they had to sell one of their other houses to make room, and are now out the new house and their old house. IDK if there is a reliable way to test this in a test environment as it's pretty hard to replicate a full server, and all the loads and stresses that come along with it.

I'd love to live above the Kavala gun store. But looks like that idea would have to be tabled. iirc there were some other house types that were not able to be owned, other than the one you and potato showed. Am I thinking wrong?

Watching how the last casino went. Idk if I really want to see us go further down that road. At this time i don't want to see anything casino wise return in game. Should we feel the need to go down that path again. We will look to an external casino that utilizes the asylum currency.

At first I thought about living ontop of the store would be a cool idea. But the whole god mode etc proves to be a problem there. Perhaps we could look at making a warning that these shop houses can be taken back for server features at anytime without warning, adding that they will be compensated at their market value. idk thinking of ideas to get this implemented.

Weird. Its like I asked for constructive feedback. But per the usual. Memes and off handed comments were the usual response. You failed to even provide any feedback and would rather just roast my response. Everyone is acting like 25 for a straight out decent skin is somehow breaking their world. I get its not free which everyone would obviously prefer. I've said this time and time again. No one is going to advocate for them to make less money in game, and I've now learned that unless it's free they're going to be mad as well. As mentioned above, more skins for less each makes a ton of sense which I completely agree with. However, we can't add endless skins to the server as we strive to keep the mission file size as low as possible. As each person who joins the server has to download it all from the same server, often at the same time. And a lagging server sucks for everyone. With that, I have to be selective of what we add with skins as they take the most space. And the ones we do add I can't offer for 2.99. But you all get that complex right? Another idea is we could do rotating skins? Like 30 day skins that you pay for. Fresh in and fresh out would solve the space issue. But I can't even imagine that people would want 30 day skins they gotta pay for. You tell me

All, As I have heard over the last few years. There is a desire from many who whish to support the server via buying skins but are not interested in dealing with crates. @Kelly made some awesome skins that I want to release in a future update that doesn't involve those pesky crates. I am posting it now to provide the opportunity for constructive feedback prior to release. Below is a sneak peak of said skins. Each skin will cost 1,000 gold. They will soon be added in a future hotfix.

A timer before you get banned

Yes, solid choice. There really isn't a way to tie in the RCON to a timer on the server for getting banned. As far as the server cares, you are either banned or you're not. Bandit's recommendation would be your best bet. -

It's not about money in the slightest. I see connection complaints from a ton of regions. Brazil, China, Australia, Germany, Croatia, etc etc. I don't think denying connections is a smart move for server health in 2022. I wish there was a solution, but we can't survive as a NA arma server. We also can only have the box in one location.

I wouldn't put a ton of weight behind that rumor. The ability to mod and customize the game has become a huge reason why it's still alive to this day. I doubt that Tencent would agree with BI knee capping the future potential of the game and any following series. They may not be a majority holder, but they still have a financial interest. But yes.
