    with exclusively hobby coders, we progress much more slowly. i suggest paying devs per project, so that they have real incentive and focus on it much more, since they’d be getting paid. 
    look at oly, they pay, and everything added is well thought out and works great. from QoL updates to completely new content, it’s all well thought out and integrates nicely with what’s currently on the server.
    no disrespect to the current devs at all, they are doing an amazing job, but they could be doing a lot better, doing things that the majority of the server wants, instead of adding stuff that they’d enjoy doing. for example, processing from a vehicle. i’d imagine that’s not hard to code, but hasn’t been done because most, if not all, devs don’t play civ and make money like that, so it doesn’t interest them. why waste their time on something they won’t use, and also not get rewarded for adding?
     
    edit: just realized that processing from a vehicle is already in the works but still, can’t deny that giving devs more incentive will equate to better content.

    I was thinking maybe we can change the incentives to the turfs add some new reasons to go cap it i have noticed they either get afk caped or 1 life capped bc its not worth throwing money at, also make them rotate so people cant just know when and where they will pop. add like 5 possible locations for them to spawn every restart and they move randomly kinda like cartels. I have noticed that there is a bunch of open space below pyrgos that is not being use and i have played for years never really had a reason to go down there or own houses down there, would be nice if maybe a cartel location could spawn there or something along those lines. same with top left of map not really used very open would be a fun new fight location for rebels and cops alike. i dont know how this would work or how viable it would be but a Cop initiated event where the roles are reversed from fed events. where the cops are starting and defending it from rebels and its up to the rebels to team up against the cops (different gangs or groups) like maybe a rebel command post. where if the cops succeed the cooldown on fed events increases or prices of illegal guns goes up and the price of drugs sells goes down. just a kinda starter idea for some new events or ideas to get the fighting back where it use to be.

    Would love input or maybe so ideas to these current suggestions

    can we PLEASE for the love of god get over this "broken economy" mentality? no one wants to grind for 4 hours to make 500k anymore, and the people that want to still can. people want to actually play the game and have fun. notice how olympus has easy money making methods and a "broken economy" but has a much larger player base....because they can PLAY THE GAME.
    no one cares about your 9 year old virtual economy. the rich people dont spend their money, so dont punish the rest of us. let us play.

    I think gang boat needs to be started an hour or two later in the day. a lot of players arent off work when it begins.
    this would make it more fair so gangs have some sort of fair chance at fighting it. this is an NA based server so why not line the times up with NA players.

    Personal thoughts and opinions of the current state of Asylum.
    Cops have more utility to win a fight against civs then ever before. When they have numbers to match it, it is insanely difficult. However when they don't have numbers, and/or the leadership available to help them they fold like a piece of cardboard.
    I suggest drawing back on the utility that police have, while also encouraging them to be more active. As I said, the balancing aspects of what the police have now manifests as a negative when they have more then 10-12 on. When there is 5 cops on, it's irrelevant. Cops will always lack in skill and coordination relative to most gangs as the always have as gangs play together more, but what they have a leg up on is getting back faster and cheaper gear.
    To go into specifics on what I am referring too, mostly Ifrit usage. Fighting endless waves of Striders and Hunters is one thing, Ifrits are another. I might also add that fighting a gang with 8-10 ifrits is far different than fighting cops with 8-10 ifrits because they can't return nearly as quick. I am of course aware that it's locked behind a higher ups ability to pull them, even still it poses what I would objectively say based on my tenure in the server is a net-negative. I encourage limiting the number of ifrits that police can have out at a time in someway. Police have overall been given more and more other things to use since the inception of Asylum. For instance before, a fed used to be some Deerstands, 4 gates, you had to watch out for parachuters, a heli hot landing Alamo or in the north eastern part and cops nitroing in. Now it is all of that, plus the jump spots, usable by vans, the ifrits (which I explained above) and occasionally even the Marid. Then when you leave, cops can spike you now from their own car, and every gate has spikes on it until you cut the gate open.
    Now lets take a look at what rebels have acquired over that time. The Mk1 is still overall the best gun all things considered. The biggest change I would say is that they have RPGs and tbh, if we took a really close look at dumbing down the cop utility the RPGs can go. Next up you have the armed quilin, and with free vehicle reloads, that and/or a .50 cal can be a pretty gnarly combo however whenever its being used it is incredibly vulnerable due to the gunner being exposed. We have had some other things like the engine kill switch and so forth, which doesn't really provide any utility for fighting cops in a fed, or really at any federal event. Additionally, we have gotten a different assortment of guns, but for most with the exception of my self people overwhelmingly prefer the Mk1 or the Mk18. You will see a mk200 here and there and even rarely a zafir.
    Fed payouts seem to be balanced over all. I like most of the cartel caps as well. The quest system is pretty cool although I haven't used it that much to be honest. I also think the infamy system is pretty cool, it's a slow grind where you see the rewards and benefits over the course of a long period of time and I have been enjoying it.

    i think one of the main concerns is the lack of care for new players. this isn't an admin exclusive thing, many gangs don't give them a chance either. its why hyper has so many numbers, we try to guide them. but on the admin side of this topic, i see new people in chat asking for help a LOT, but no staff replies. most of the time its just questions about something on the server, and gets answered by a player, but sometimes they legitimately need admin support but don't get it.
    the server won't grow if this keeps up, and who knows, one of these new players that get pushed away could be an exceptional dev, able to contribute greatly to the server.

    I'm not in the mood to post a whole lot, but Ski was the main reason our entire gang, Hyper, quit the server and started playing Olympus. I've had other admins even tell me that after we left the server pop and fights were never the same again, which can't be denied because it's not hard to look at battlemetrics.

    Currently the only cartel that gets any attention is drug. Therefore everyone is fighting house and tower cap all day and no one really fights og arms, church, wongs etc.. So why not allow any cartel to rotate between any of the locations. Drug could be any of the arms locations or wongs locations and vice versa. Would allow the chance to actually fight other locations instead of just house and tower all day everyday. I don't think I've ever had anyone show up to wongs on admin island so it would allow for new strategies to arise and bring some sort of change/excitement since most of us that do fight are veterans with thousands of hours.

    3 crate houses - 50k cap electric bill
     
    The current prices seem entirely too steep.
