You need to role-play for the gear. The only way you get it is kidnapping a cop. So when someone says “drop me your gear or die” that is surely not enough. Personally, I don't have a problem dropping my gear but only as a form of a reward for role-play rather than submission to a demand.

As an APD officer, you cannot change your name by yourself. The only people who will be able to change it are moderators+ (I believe).

Funny thing is I actually use the skinning knife to role-play when I’m kidnapped. If they bring me a skinning knife and painkillers I’ll “cut” the clothes and gun off of me. Unfortunately, my kidnappers usually never play along.
