Decentralized Economy: Players could trade $ASYL for in-game items, contracts, or even buy and sell properties/cars outside of the Asylum economy. Rewards for Engagement: Get $ASYL for completing in-game challenges, participating in events, or winning major heists like the Federal Reserve robbery. Asylum is old enough for high school now. With the server being seemingly on its deathbed, I thought it would be cool to create a compilation thread for a nostalgia trip. Would be cool to revisit this in the future, perhaps even create a Youtube playlist whenever Asylum disappears. We'll still have a collection of nostalgia to revisit when we're all in a retirement home. 
Asylum was a big part of my life throughout college. I failed multiple college courses because I was so damn addicted to it. Now that I'm older, live on my own and have a career, it's bittersweet to think of the days where I would wake up, fire up the computer, load up Teamspeak and play Arma until it was basically bedtime. Also browsing the forums during my compsci classes.

Feel free to also post some of your old montages or your favorite montages. I used to watch so many back in the day, definitely also a source of nostalgia for me

Forgot to introduce myself.
         Name is Gnike, formally Fin McCool on this server. I first joined in 2014 and played off and on till 2019. I have a few thousand hours in Arma and a few hundred on Altis life.  I just started back at the beginning of this year. I primarily do legal farming and some other farming activities. I haven't gotten into Gangs much yet but I'm looking forward to starting now that I'm at level cap for money and will need something to do. I try and RP most all situations and as long as your cool with me I will always be cool with you. I will help new players and talk shit to people who kill them for no reason. I mostly keep to myself.

Asylum road map

82 days since the most recent wipe under new management with nothing to show for it in terms of a player base. The server, averaging at about 10 payers for the past couple weeks begs the question. Where are we headed?

After the wipe patch, we got no new content for the rest of the year. Instead we get a road map that has yet to be completed.

Here we are on February 12, 2025. 82 Days since the wipe and four updates later (2-3 of which were basically hot fixes). Three official owners who are also developers, this being one of the many things people were excited about when they came into power. Yet, what is there to show for it? A dead server.
