  1. im not being funny, but cartel flights are kinda boring and predictable, all the best fights were always in the turfs in my experience. make turf houses spawn able again so we can have some serious gang fights again instead of first one to drive there and set up wins the turf. I have 8 turf houses on 4 servers that are kind of redundant now. I spent allot of time and resources finding and buying turf houses exactly because that was where the most interesting gang fights happen, i literally have rpgs gathering dust from lack of choppers to shoot down. On second thoughts, bring back the underwater, old oil cartel. That was a good location that made for interesting fights that utilise the underwater assets in the game. It is also a good place for starter gangs to get a foothold in the cartel game, perhaps dont remove the current Oil cartel, just add a new one at the old location, called i dont know..... Sealab 2020, where a cut of ....fish sales, or excavation spoils like jewellery shop sales. In the same way that the mobile meth lab gives newer players a viable option for making drug money let them make money from untapped resources ingame like fish/jewellery/commodities. Also Oil rig is possibly the most un-utilised location in the game. Would it hurt to add a chopper spawn location on the rig and make it a capturableable location?

  3. I'd first like to congratulate the team for what i feel is a comprehensive and thoughtful update. I feel that the rotating illegal areas are going to invigorate the dynamic of the island and inject a well needed change of strategy and tactics to the now predictable points of conflict. It will also help to free up and ease some of the choke hold many of the older and established players have had over the better properties over the island in DP 14/15 etc. One of the most difficult parts of establishing oneself on a server is finding suitable property, which as a member of DS who recently moved from #4 to #3 i have the deepest empathy. Spike strips are also another +. i feel are also going to change the dynamic of Cop chases. No longer will the apd be limited to just following perps waiting for them to crash or getting desync rammed off the road by frustrated pursuers. Although with it may come a danger of being abused i feel that in the long run it will help to create more opportunities for conflict and RP. Now to my favourite addition, the recreational vehicle. As a member of a large gang access to Meth lab has never been much of an issue for me, but i can empathize with players that dont have the resources or the manpower to take and hold both Drug cartel and the Lab safely. So i welcome the opportunity for smaller gangs to get in on the game and the opportunities it is going to create for interesting engagements. I can see the Free fire zone becoming a valid place to cook other than just for fighting Arms. The Taru I think might need tweeking. Ive already seen 2 people who i think of as competent pilots crash them already and with the Mohawk already in the game i dont see how people are going to be encourages to switch. Now a couple of suggestions that i think could help utilize the new opportunities which have been given to us. With the addition of the RV i feel there is a real danger that people will just stop doing coke, and weed in favor of a safer and more versatile Crank run. Could we make it so the RV could be used in the same way for other drugs, so Hash instead of Medical majuana? and maybe crack or fentenol instead of cocaine? You could implement the same diminished return on the lesser produced product. The Rebels need a dedicated City! Could we add something for Rebels?. I know we have 3 rebel outposts, but they just turn in to camped locations allot of the time and there are plenty of locations that already exist that could be easily implemented. Other than Excavating there isnt anything to do under water! id love to see the old Oil cartel (underwater ruins) used for something, perhaps a high yield excavation site. It seems to make sense to make one of the oil cartel locations on the Oil rig itself. Its a brilliant location and could introduce some really exciting and different fights that utilize all the awesome underwater assets from arma3. Anyway ill get off my soap box now. All together a brilliant update, Keep up the good work!

  5. +1 for whitelist slots. With greater responsability should also come greater benefits. We also need more fascilities to accomidate any increased responsabilities. Places to pull helis on the east of the island like Pygros. Perhaps a larger heli, like a medical mohawk for dealing with serious events and environmental disasters. A medical frigate/carrier would be my ultimate wishlist item. Like a dedicated medical hq with surgery areas akin to the skiptracer fascilities for bounty hunters.

  10. As i am a man that appreciates the economy of making stuff myself, i find the only things i spend my money on these days are bounties, carrier lights and Ammo. It has occurred to me that although Arms dealer has the benefits of additional items of production,when your there there is nothing to do other than sit around waiting for people to come and fight. I suggest a mechanic where you can actually make ammo and frags at the arms dealer, or a location on that southerly peninsular where arms is located.

  12. The most helpful tool you can use on any side is record. If ppl RDM you make a report and move on. get a battle buddy, someone to watch your back while you do your thing, and offer him a cut of whatever you make as long as he keeps you safe. Make a list of all the cunts that kill you and remove their EMT privileges so when they die, just let everyone in the EMT side chat know they kill EMT's. With regard to not being able to reach people in time, a heli will help loads and at only $5k they are the cheapest way to fly on the island and a good way to make money when all the Kavala Emt's are hanging out in the square. Another way to find the action is to offer your services to a gang or the Cops. There are always loads of bodies at prison breaks, Bank jobs and Feds, just be sure to pick a side and dont attempt to res ppl from both sides, thats a sure way to get shot fast. If you just want to do the job and save lives and you dont care about the EMT paycheck play EMT on CIV. Once you have the talents for the defib, buy an EMT top off a fellow medic($1k seems the going rate) get a gun and hit the road. I often play Civ/EMT off duty medic after getting fed up of getting shot by hobos. The benefit of P07 is that it doesnt give you a bounty when you shoot someone but you get enough time to make your escape before they come around. Personally i make my money on Civ and play emt when i want some stress free flying round the island and getting in to adventures! its a good calling and when you save someone with a full loadout in the ass end of knowhere there is nothing like the feeling of doing something positive and the appreciation that you get for going to the effort of saving them.
  13. i think that this is a great idea. +1 With white list in place i think it would be a good idea to re-implement non-lethal weapons for EMT's. Its a hard job anyway, p07 would help working in the cities where hobos are always trying to rob you for your shirt and defib. I realise that some feel this contradicts the Hippocratic oath of doing no harm, but as a emergency first responder, we often have to go in to dangerous situations where sometimes doing a little harm (downing a violent criminal) could save lives before they are lost.

I recognize many of the members as being active in the community and are ;looking for a consistent gang i can be a part of. All of my interactions with DS have been generally good ones, Combat and RP and i consider many of your members to be "good guys". I have been running kinda solo recently and i always seem to fight for gang turf with DS members more so than others. I think i would be an asset to your squad and i would certainly benefit form running with like minded players.

  17. I have discussed this with many of the citizens of Altis during my canvasing for my first term as Governor of server #4. The overwhelming majority would like to see the night returned. Now that i am running for my second term i am canvasing to bring back the night as it seems to be what the people want(of server#4 anyway) Personally i would love to see the night returned to the Island. Could we perhaps bring it back to server #4 as a trial and see how people feel about it. Whenever i have discussed why the night was removed the main reason seems to be to make the server more noob friendly, but all the seasoned veterans and regular players like myself would relish the cover of darkness to help our activities to go unnoticed. It would be good to finally get an accurate idea of the pro/con positions of players and take action accordingly. I started playing Asylum when there was still a day night cycle and i had no problems getting a foothold on the island. If the issue is that people dont like the green of nvg's they dont have to wear them, let them use torches! sincearly Dr.Strangelove
