    Foreword: 
    This is not the first time that I have had to write a foreword on a patch note, over the last several months the general state of the server has decreased significantly, development has been excruciatingly slow, and folks have again lost faith in Asylum staff.  Yet again I over promised and under-delivered.  As I'm sure most of us have experienced, sometimes life is difficult to predict, and we cannot always spend as much time on things as we'd like.  We have been able to make strides on bringing on more help, broaden the load and try and get back on track.  Who knows how far we will get, but I am committed to continuing this effort and reviving this community.
    Development, increase the frequency of patches and features, increase size of team via new developers and @Jesse returning to help me in a development & advisor capacity. Community, we will be selecting both a community manager(s), and a community council, this will be a public process where community members will be able to observe and ultimately provide feedback on ideas before they are developed.  More information on this process will be released in a post ideally next week, Upgrading legacy systems and experiences, forums, TS, discord, Wiki, etc. Patch notes formatting- starting with this patch, patch notes will be posted all on the same "Changelog" Post, this way like most games you will be able to see patches right on top of each other to track progress.  We will still have a dedicated post for feedback. In our community meeting update I announced a bold new idea to shrink the map and increase interaction.  After some time exploring this idea, and hearing feedback I have decided to take the lessons we learned and the features we liked to into a unique experience with everyone at the table and keep everyone's play styles available.  Our goal is still to increase interaction and combat outside of scripted locations, and we have the ability to use the map to our advantage in this regard.  Specific ideas will be worked on and brought to the community as we flush out the ideas that we are hearing.


     1. The winning gang of domination Saturday afternoon will have the option to choose one of the three deep state Ifrit skins

     2. The five players with the top playtime on the server between now and Monday Morning will receive the Cybertruck Ifrit Skin
     3. The ten players with the top playtime on Saturday morning will each receive 1000 Asylum gold.
     4. The gang with the most cartel captures between patch and Sunday Night will get 6 months of free Asylum Plus
     5. I will be TPing around the map and giving out a number of other items as well.


    The Event coordinators will be running a number of events as well, they will announce a schedule soon.  I will incorporate some of these skins and rewards into these events.


    This patch will go live this Friday, 5/2/25 at 5:30pm EST

    Vehicle Delivery Missions Go to the Independent Contractor  Scroll wheel on the NPC, and select which mission you want to do by calling the representative.  Vinny will task you with delivering him vehicle.  Carl will task you with delivering crates. Vinny Vinny will set a marker on your map with where the vehicle is that needs to be picked up, hurry over to it before it gets stolen.   Pick up the vehicle and deliver it to the drop off point to get paid. There are new quests associated with these missions: Complete 25 vehicle Deliveries - Offroads for deliveries and a 20% higher payout +15000 Complete 35 vehicle Deliveries - Box Trucks for deliveries and a 20% higher payout +25000 Complete 50 vehicle Deliveries - HMMT Fuel for deliveries and a 20% higher payout +35000 Complete 100 vehicle Deliveries - HMMT Box for deliveries and a 20% higher payout +45000 Complete 150 vehicle Deliveries - Zamak Fuel for deliveries and a 20% higher payout +55000 Complete 250 vehicle Deliveries - Tempest Flatbed for deliveries and a 20% higher payout +65000 Carl Carl will set three markers on the map with where the crates are for you to go pick up, and a HMMT flatbed to pick up the crates.   Use the truck to pick up all three crates and then deliver them to the drop off zone. Once the truck and crates have been delivered you will be paid. Care Packages Rebels can now buy care packages at rebel, when activated they will drop in the purchased item via an airdrop.  Rebels can call vehicles, 7.62 ammo, or an Mk1 care package.  Mk-1 Crate (3 Mk1s, 15 7.62 Magazines, $20,000 Ammo Crate (75 Mk 7.62 Mags, $10,000 Ifrit Air Drop (Single use Ifrit- cannot be stored, upgraded or chopped). $25,000 Orca Air Drop (Single use Orca- cannot be stored, upgraded or chopped).$20,000 Pocket Cars Civilians, cops, and medics alike can now buy pocket vehicles, these are assembled by the player at their location.  Never get stranded again and buy a single-use pocket vehicle. Quadbikes-$750 Hatchback (Sports) 2500 Cocaine can now be gathered dynamically by picking it from the trees at coke field Cocaine can now be processed dynamically by running around in the pt at the cocaine processor Jewelry Emporium has been revamped via a new custom map courtesy of luke Mental Asylum has been revamped via a new custom map courtesy of luke Prison has been revamped via a new custom map courtesy of luke The Asylum Casino has been upgraded, after moving into the Asylum Grand Palace, across from the Midnight Palms Nightclub the future home of karaoke. APD Checkpoint Alpha The APD has begun to beef up its presence around the island, setting checkpoints, and seizing contraband from the civilians who pass through. Robbery 3 APD officers are required to be online in order to rob Alpha Checkpoint Place a diamond-tip-drill on the back door of the evidence storeroom Wait 10 minutes and then load the loot into a vehicle, sell at an ownable gas station, in order to reap your reward. Smokes have been edited and re-enabled, these enhanced smokes reduce the lag from Arma smokes significantly. Cops can now toggle blue only lights by scrolling whilst being the driver of an APD vehicle.   If lights are already on they must be turned off and back on to switch the color scheme Paros is now a spawnable city hosting the Asylum Casino and Palace Warning System Admins are now able to warn players in-game before moving to place bans This system is currently being integrated to allow for out-of-game warnings to prevent unnecessary bans This is part of our goal to decrease the severity of certain punishments on the server.     It's quite apparent this has literally become all about what you want for the server, and not what your community wants. It's your server and by all rights you can do what you want(which is what you're already doing.)
      I don't understand the point in asking for our input and not following through on things or keeping your word.
      You are showing more and more how much you don't care what the community wants, and this is just heartbreaking to watch. It has been mentioned time and time again, the community needs transparency. The community needs a change. You're not bringing any of that.

    It just makes no sense. We have community meeting -> we don't want prestige but because of the feedback of 'some folks' we roll forward with a random non supported idea -> after talking it through with these (same?) folks, we are completely rolling back this idea? There is 0 feeling of continuity or control over this project at the moment and no amount of you getting up on the whipping post to accept abuse from us will change that. Though I disagree with your direction so far I have genuinely felt empathy to the fact that you are facing a lot of criticism and toxic feedback but you are doing it to yourself. 
    In the meeting we spoke at length about the lack of clarity behind the new ownership groups leadership (i.e keeping the community in the dark, keeping your Admins and Community Managers in the dark, etc). I believe at one point you admitted that you guys were 'retarded' and need to be better. It has been a few weeks now and not a single person from staff to player feels that anything has changed on this front. It is still you, out here on the whipping post, bearing the cross of bad decision after bad decision being made collectively from a trio of owners (supposedly, as they say nothing we cannot know who is behind what). The amount of people sympathetic to your situation is swiftly dwindling and I am not sure anyone can give you anymore advice than what the community has already given you. Again, in your own words, stop being retarded.

    I don't really have a dog in this fight because I just got back Jan 1st. I do, however, have the most hours played this month on the server and am constantly in game. I was surprised at the wipe when I returned. It ended up being a good thing for me at least because I was able to start fresh and get financially to a competitive level pretty fast. The last week It's been the same 5-10 players every night, and usually by a certain time it's me and 1 or two others. This morning, I logged in before work to see 0 players on. It was sad really. I enjoy the server and the core group of players we had a month ago was very supportive. I honestly don't know what could save the server. I know more things to do would be cool. Fix issues that are known and have been known.  We still have a bugged Cotton field. How is that even possible? A garden truck that's for sale that does not work. Delete it or fix it.
          I try and support the new players that do log in only for them to get destroyed by some of the current players that feel like they are entitled to abuse whoever they want. One of the reasons I play here and not Olympus, a server I was in the first 20 players on when it opened, Is because it's not as complicated and busy. You can't do anything on that server unless you have a big gang. One gang has taken over the entire server and RDM's everyone anytime they want. We don't want that, but we need more things to do. I haven't seen the sunken gang boat in a month. It's things like that which allow non gang battle players to harvest good money and do something different. It seems like the devs/Admin get on, do some type of Cop/Gang battle and bounce. 
        The Prestige system is junk. It is a motivation killer and should be abandoned immediately. All it does is force you to make a gang to bank funds if you play solo or risk throwing money into a void. I don't understand why we don't have induvial buyers for the commodities. It seems like a lazy way to do it. Governor is a neat concept but all they seem to do is win, raise taxes to the max, log in to pardon people every now and then, and you never see them again. The talent system for civs pre wipe was a plus for me, but I understand some people didn't care for it. A revamped talent system for civs would be really cool. I've seen several people log in asking about where the talent system was and log out when they hear we don't have a civ one. The last thing we need is another wipe. I would never play again if they wiped all the work over the last month+. Some solid communication an actual enjoyable content that is not recycled old stuff would be awesome. Add mushrooms, LSD, find a way to make fishing viable by raising the rewards for the bigger fish, make diamonds a stand-alone mine and processor with a chance to process flawless stones in the batches. Give us an option to Process Crank into Crystal Meth with the RV and with a 50/50 shot that the whole truck blows up and kills us. Risk vs Reward. 
     
      I am already a Plus member and would continue to support the server if they would really show they want to bring it back. Just my 2 cents worth.

    Do we have any timeline to look at? I understand this is a side-gig for you guys and you have lives and careers aside from this. While we all think Asylum does need content including the money as described above, MANY peoples MAIN complaint is sheer LACK OF COMMUNICATION. Even if its telling us "we didn't make ends meet so xyz will be delayed for 7 days", we NEED communication.

    New owners legitimately expected the server to fill up simply on the basis that the old owner was gone. Yet they have done nothing different.
    Releasing a roadmap that was simply a list of ideas with no timeframe attached didn't help. Many of the owners aren't willing to put in the effort to contribute to real updates, and the one who is can hardly code without breaking the entire server, and doesn't take criticism or the opinions of others into account and just does as he sees fit.
    Lack of good updates and kept promises was a trend with previous ownership, and the new ones are continuing it. There is no future for asylum, there was an opportunity with the wipe with a full server and excited playerbase, yet the developers (current owners) failed to capitalize on this with additional updates. Drastic changes were needed but with 10 players on after a wipe and then also a revamp, I don't see much opportunity for a comeback anymore.

    I'd like to suggest that the money cap + prestige system be removed. It was removed a long time ago and should have stayed extinct. Both gang members and random people in sidechat who have asked how it works have all come to the same conclusion after I explain it to them: "oh, heeelll nah, that ain't worth it."   Feel free to implement whatever 'prestige system' is in the works, but just reword/slight rework it so:
    Level 1 - 20mil in bank (ie: 10mil cash + 10mil prestige today)
    Level 2 - 30 Mil in bank
    etc. etc.
    Allow players the freedom of choice of staying above certain thresholds or not, it feels awful to hit 'deposit' on an ATM knowing your money went into the void of nothingness.  Don't give me the "we're scared of people having too much money" thing because it was decided to combine V2/3 databases.  Let players who are grinders feel that dopamine hit as they see the numbers in their bank account go up. 
     
    I grinded to Eminent when prestige was still a thing many years ago.
    I definitely did not grind/sell tens of millions of dollars (when it wasn't against the rules)
    I grinded back to Eminent when 3.0 dropped
