9/10 times this is the case, with less than a kilometer of distance to be closed, but cops on scene say "fuck medics" and take the revive anyway. where's the incentive when one faction does the job of two factions because there's minimal mutual respect?

keep in mind survival fatigues also give you improved swimming same as the wetsuits.

for any variation of the event i figured it'd be round robin rules of picking teams. admins pick 2 "team leads" they can pick their team from the rest of the roster. or just get assigned by a neutral admin

if you guys wanna take our job without wearing the uniform, then we'll take the cash without doing the job

everyone gets a rebreather and an S-DAR split em into two teams with some sort of uniform identifier. option 1: 2-3 objects are placed in an underwater area (like some of those hidden underwater ruins or something) and the first team to pick up a majority of the items and bring em back to their base wins. winners get an admin gift or cash or something option 2: same thing as option 1, but its just a tdm. first team to 3 wins in a best 3 out of 5 or something gets rewarded. underwater and aquatic shit is underrated.

After many many suicide bombings, remote bombings, speed bombings, ignition bombings, bomb bombings, etc by many of our altis residents, i figured it'd be an interesting idea to add a passive income available to those who would like to volunteer their time. As of right now if a player owns a house, they can request a repair and have a cop or a civilian (if i remember correctly) repair it, for a cost. However, what about the unowned houses? the store owners? Id like to suggest adding an item, like a drill or something, that union owners and/or afd members can purchase as a 1 time use, that allows us to walk up to houses/buildings that are visibly damaged (charred, cracks all over, a hole blown out of it, etc) and spend some time repairing it to restore it to its original state. since this would be a purely voluntary thing, the balance would be that it's only on structures that are not or cannot be owned. Same process as current house repair, but it just pays a flat... 5 grand? a little chunk of change for volunteering your time to repairing the structure. drills (or whatever we name the repair item) would be a 1 time use. civilians would have to have a union license (basically saying theyre part of a construction union or something) to have access to the ability. gives something new to do, makes the server look pretty, new legal activity. id say its a win win. (not to mention it would make this "bob the builder" lifetime quest actually achievable for medics)

it's dumb. we're strictly prohibited from using our vehicles in an offensive manner as medics as per our SOPs. if we fight back, it's a potential warning or points. Yet civilians, even when we're not in the vehicle itself can just launch it around, blow it up, send us flying, with no repercussion. MOST of us (not particularly me, but alot of others) only tend to pull it out when we need the armor to defend ourselves, i.e. caught in a crossfire, sheltering from rdmers, getting up one of our own from the middle of a firefight, etc. Having someone uninvolved able to just destroy our stuff because they want to is a bit much. at a federal or an event, sure, i can see why keeping it would help, but nothing's going on and im chilling in a random town, i shouldnt be able to just get blasted into next year. Either allow us to defend ourselves in these particular instances, or hold people to the same standards for every other combat instance that we have as medics.

Alright alright last bit of forum spam for a bit, i promise. i just get high, and high gives me ideas, and... well yeah so shuddup. anyway. As of late there's been alot of "haha im locked in my house and there aint shit you can do about it" kinds of engagements in some of the bigger cities, kavala especially. I feel like this would be a cool feature to nerd up a bit. Let me preface this by saying im open to the thought of it being available to other ranks, as well as even being something ANY rank can do with the right "training", however, as it stands, paramedics are the first rank to be able to unlock houses, so its easier using them as a template, amongst other factors like people who made it to that rank, obviously know what theyre doing and can be trusted with this kind of roleplay/authority based on that. Now, the feature is simply, when someone bunkers down in a house, instead of it turning into an all out brawl in the streets with potential for RDMs on uninvolved players, AFD can be called as a mental health crisis response team, and a paramedic+ can show up on scene, to enter the locked house alone, and talk out the situation, potentially talking down the gunman and saving lives as is expected of the AFD. Pros: kits, time, and money can be saved. it adds the option for roleplay for those interested (because if youre not, you can just deny them entry, and go back to shooting), it also adds for an x variable to the encounter, because it can quickly turn into a hostage situation, adding more variety. Witnesses who might be new to the server get a show, and everyone wins. Accidental deaths pertaining to innocents being in the crossfire are prevented cons: it's fucking boring as hell to not shoot people. it's roleplay and roleplay for nerds. it would require SOPs pertaining to these encounters so its not abused. it gives the AFD something to do

Server dead. Every time it gets rolling, with a decent pop, a soft or hard restart happens, and a bunch of people disconnect. we should extend it to 6 hours while our pop is still low. i dont see the harm in that, but feel free to shoot it down with technical developer jargon that i probably wont understand below.

bruh, dont make me walk everywhere, please reduce the redeploy timer. im trying to be in the 3 places at once, but i can't. help me im dying. im the only one q-q. if not, i want free weed.

Due to the declining server population, i'd like to propose in an alteration of the SOP between cops and medics. I don't know how things are done elsewhere, but at least where i live, the police and the paramedics respond to most situations in junction. If there's potential for an encounter that may entail bodily harm, injury, or general lack of safety, a paramedic will be brought on scene by the local pd once the area is secure, and vice versa, if the area is deemed unsafe, the local pd will be requested to attend with the paramedics/fire department. Something similar here would be nice. Considering both factions are "first responders", i'd like to encourage a bit of comingling. Having at least some dedicated channels where cops/medics can interact together while playing would be nice. roleplay for it, optional, but also desired. Some limitations would be: -the channels are off limits when a situation arises to avoid meta gaming. I.E A firefight, bank robbery, legitimate initiation, etc. -Cadets/EMRs would have to be attended by a constable/EMT to assure that there's no non-whitelisted meta gaming while the EMR slot remains public -the comms for this channel would be held to a somewhat higher standard of enforcement to prevent any collusion/meta gaming potential Benefits of it would be: -it would lay the groundwork for potential rp pertaining to the above SOP of my local PD. (i.e. medics can be requested to attend things if deemed necessary, and not be separated by a voice channel, such as a gas station robbery, hostage situation, etc. -it could even be RP'd as a mental health crisis (i.e. hostage negotiations, unarmed house entry "to talk" to barricaded suspects, all that kinda stuff.) -it would strengthen relations between the two factions that keep the server running smoothly on a individual player level (not a rulebook level) -people of both factions get to see more directly how the other half lives, maybe remove some bias/faction pride, and make people more open to multi-whitelisting. Edit: TL;DR: IRL cops sit at firestations to make themselves more available to the public. they work in unison with paramedics for dangerous situations, and so forth. I'd like to see an altis life equivalent be somewhat implemented, modified based on our neutrality rules and regulations.

Asylum Fire Department - Fire Marshal Position Suggestion

i know its an illegal item, blah blah. that's not the point. Point is, there's already a function for it. make it an upgrade you can apply to a vehicle at like corporal+ or sergeant+. It would add more dynamic to cop chases (you wont have to get close to spike em and risk them just straight VDMing you into a wall because youre in a hatchback and theyre in a hunter). Itll prevent the chaos of armor on armor shennanigans. Hell it would even add dynamics to leaving out a bait car and not having it immediately escalate into an all out pursuit. some balancing ideas i guess could be like, it takes X amount of time within Y radius of a player's vehicle for the killswitch to "lock on" and activate, like in need for speed. If it fails, it hits the cop car instead, some sort of risk/reward feature that im sure you guys could hash out. Anyway, as always, reject the idea below. i shot my shot.

fire truck upgrades. A-EMT+ can buy personal fire trucks. I'd like to see that expanded upon, in a similar way that you can get a processing attachment for tempests on civ, id like to see something that lets you hold more water in your tank, or hose faster, or something, idk im high.

Don't get me wrong, i understand WHY everyone should be allowed to defib, but i feel like there should be a chance for the defib to not work and/or break. Civilians would have the lowest, cops would be mid-tier, and then medics would be a 100% garantee, giving people a reason to call us and/or cops to wait on us when we're close by, rather than running halfway across the map, only to end up a couple hundred meters away and seeing someone's friend or another cop wasting our time by reviving them.
