Few random ideas that hypothetically shouldnt be hard to make...
1 - Compass at the top of your screen
Would be a nice QOL implement for everyone.
2 - Repair kits only need to repair what is damaged on the vehicle.
IE if you slam a hatchback into a wall and your vehicle health goes to 70%, then a repair kit starts at 70% and only needs to go up 30%. You would need to think about when a good time to use a repair kit would be, if you want to use it early and have it be a fast repair, or save it until you need it and your vehicle health is super low.
    3 - BLUE COP LIGHTS FOR ASY+ / SUPERVISORS

So, a while ago as some of you may remember I built an oil rig, I ran it by a few people today who told me to make a post here about it so here we go, this is the old post so not sure if it still is relevant to the current situation, so take it with a grain of salt.

    Few things to note:
    1. The total build has 308 objects, many of which are all objects so barely any FPS impact.
    2. You have 5 ways to get on the oil rig that is not by air, these are the main stairs besides the docks and each pillar the rig rests on is a way up.
    3. It has 3 (maybe more depending on what chopper you are flying, and how good of a pilot you are) spots to land on the rig.
    4. Lots of places to fight from and shoot at other areas on the rig.
    5. In my opinion it looks better than the current/old oil rig.

    Domination SRT
SRT has returned to the island.  APD officers are able to deploy for SWAT by scrolling on the warrant NPC in APD HQs when domination is active. Officers can uncap dom points and receive scalable pay based on their stats (include the breakdowns again)B Officers are paid 2k per kill, and it costs 5k per respawn SRT officers do not count towards fed events Non-Dom SRT
SWAT certified officers are able to deploy for SRT once a SGT+ activates the elite squad by scrolling on a warrant NPC Once activated up to 6 police officers can deploy for SRT, they are able to access elite weapons based on the above achievements (Same as dom). SRT roster is tied to population with a max of 6 80 >6 60> 5 40> 4 30> 3 20< 2 SRT officers are able to neutralize cartels by activating a raid by scrolling on the flag Once activated a 25-minute process will start, if the APD flag is still hanging on the cartel flag it will be neutralized for 30 minutes. Rebels are not able to capture the cartel during this time.
Rebels can prevent the APD from capturing the cartel by scrolling on the flag The proceeds from the cartel is then stored in an APD slush account stored within the SRT forward operating base. (Money is shown on the SRT marker on the map) In order to access the money the APD must successfully execute a convoy to bring the funds to the APD Athira HQ lockup, if successful they will be rewarded. (See APD Convoy) The rebels are able to raid the compound via a federal event to get the money back, rebels can also attack the convoy to loot the cash. (See SRT Base Raid) There is a 5 minute cooldown between raids and the applicable APD policy will be released to limit it further. These SRT officers are also not included in the federal event counter, unless it is relevant to the SRT forward operating base. Convoy Event
APD officers can now start a convoy event from the SRT Fortress to launder the money from their cartel raids once there is more than 50k stored in the base. SRT officer starts convoy on the laptop at the base of the radio tower An Evidence Dept box truck will spawn with the cash inside of it Officers must drive the vehicle to Athira HQ to successfully secure the money the money will be split amongst the cops upon delivery Rebels can lockpick the truck to get the money out of it  Raid Event
Rebels can now raid the SRT fortress to gain access to the money gained from the cartel raids Disable electric fence and AA system at the base of the AA tower (USB needed) Hack the laptop at the base of Gate 1 (USB needed) Hack the laptop at the base of the radio tower to finish the mission (USB needed) Once the radio tower has been breached SRT will no longer be able to contact APD officers for backup. A truck will spawn in with the money as banded bank notes Cops can secure the compound via the laptop under the AA tower after the radio tower has been destroyed, or before the middle gate has been breached. Bomb Range
After years of warfare the APD has now cordoned off two locations filled with unexploded ordinance Civilians can go these areas and search through the debris in search of bomb fragments Careful! some bombs may still be live! Process the fragments into bomblets at Black Market Production. Sell bomblets at wongs Tractors now gather cotton and tobacco plants New cotton and tobacco fields New Union docks  Hireable gas stations for cool perks and passive income

Raids and Risks: Other players can raid your gas station to steal the cash you’ve earned. Keep an eye out and defend your property! Time-Based Ownership: If you’re offline for more than 10 minutes, your gas station becomes available for someone else to hire. Stay active to maximize your income! Asylum Community,
Just a quick update from the team here, we want to thank you all for your support in reopening, it’s been awesome to see so many people back online running around. Here is a quick update on where we are.
Over the past few weeks, our updates have been focused on bug fixes, anti-cheat improvements, and quality-of-life enhancements. While we would have loved to dedicate more time to new content during this period, these efforts were absolutely necessary to strengthen the foundation of our platform.
In addition to addressing key issues, we’ve made significant progress on much-needed backend infrastructure improvements and updates. These changes are essential for ensuring long-term stability and performance, providing us with a more solid base to build on as we move forward.
Here is what we have planned for you all as we come into the new year and beyond.
Localized Prison Cells at Police HQs:
Each police HQ will be equipped with a small holding cell. If a gang member is caught (e.g., during a federal heist), they’ll be temporarily detained here.
    Breakout Opportunity:
Gang members will have a limited window (X minutes) to attempt an easier prison break from the local holding cell.
    Failure Consequences:
If the breakout attempt fails within the set timeframe (or once all gang members are processed and jailed, TBD), the detained player will be transferred to the main jail to serve the remainder of their sentence.
    Dispute system
A lot of rule violations that currently end up as as reports and require admin intervention could be handled between the players themselves. This includes asking for compensation, explaining your side of the story etc, and if you can’t figure it out with the other player an admin will step in and take over. Implementing a system to handle these disputes between players will speed up the process for both parties and ensure people don’t get needlessly banned for minor infractions, while also ensuring compensation is properly logged and visible for admins.
    Admin warning system
The new warning system provides admins with the ability to issue warnings to players for minor infractions, without resorting to more drastic actions like bans. This is especially useful when admins are not online or when the player is offline.
Players will be required to read and accept the warning before being allowed to continue playing, ensuring they are aware of the issue.
Now obviously there will be some people that will ignore the warning, thats why admins will be able to track of the amount and frequency of warnings a player receives and still issue bans accordingly for repeat offenders
Note that this system will not replace the current ban system, this system is for minor rule violations and cases where the situation isn’t cut and dry, Clear and intentional violations will still get issues by the regular bans
Interactive gathering with tractors, not driving in circles, harvesting bushes for cotton, tobacco, etc
New and improved SRT dynamic, and additional opportunities for civ v specialize cop combat outside of federal events.
New skins and crates coming soon
@Kelly and @Iuke have made some awesome new skins for us to enjoy, including something we’ve never done before
    Tutorial town
As part of our roadmap, we're thrilled to introduce Tutorial Town! This will be the perfect starting point for newcomers, designed to help players learn the ropes.
Players will be able to experiment with core features in a low-pressure, guided environment.
    Guide NPC's in towns
Navigating our towns is about to get easier than ever for new players! Each town will feature a Guide NPC, specifically designed to help new players find key locations and points of interest.
    Strife domination release (soon)
Hireable gas stations for cool perks and passive income
We’re introducing Hireable Gas Stations, an exciting new feature that offers players cool perks and opportunities for passive income. Here’s how it works:
Own Your Spot: There are three gas stations available to hire, and they reset every server restart.
Passive Earnings: Once hired, the gas station generates money over time, which is deposited into a secure safe. It’s up to you to empty the safe regularly—before someone else tries to take it!
Raids and Risks: Other players can raid your gas station to steal the cash you’ve earned. Keep an eye out and defend your property!
Time-Based Ownership: If you’re offline for more than 10 minutes, your gas station becomes available for someone else to hire. Stay active to maximize your income!
Launder with a Bonus: Gas stations double as a laundering spot for banknotes, giving you a 1.5x payout on your cleaned money.
Play More, Earn More: The longer you stay in-game, the higher your return on investment.
    Battle Pass
The battle pass will consist of daily/weekly challenges that need to be completed to increase your rank, the further along you get the more rewards you get. There will be 2 tiers available for the battle pass
The free tier will reward you with in-game items, Asylum gold, and some lower tier skins
The paid tier (bought with Asylum gold) will contain premium skins, asylum gold and more rewards
    Gang house drug shipments
Thank you @Kill Switch for the idea. As a token of appreciation, you have been awarded 500 gold for your contribution.
Once a large amount of drugs is stashed at the gang house a shipment can be started, this shipment will lead to a hidden drug dealer that will pay you more for the convenience to buy large amounts of drugs at once. Be warned tho, once you start the shipment other players will get tipped off about your general starting location and direction of the dealer.
    Distress Beacon
Thank you @K0Mat0s3 for the idea. As a token of appreciation, you have been awarded 500 gold for your contribution.
An item that will alert police to your location, to which they will respond with high priority. Always usable(even while handcuffed/blindfolded) and only purchasable and usable while part of the Workers Union. We hope this will give newer players and players doing legal money making methods more of a fighting chance against.
    Leaving mail for house owners
Thank you @moift for the idea, As a token of appreciation, you have been awarded 500 gold for your contribution.
Leaving mail at a house will allow you to leave a message for an unknown home owner. Whether you've accidentally damaged their property, such as hitting a baseball through their window, or if you wish to make an offer to purchase the house. Simply leave a letter for the home owner to find next time they check their house’s mailbox, this will be as non intrusive as possible to not bother people with prime real estate while still allowing people to make contact.
Obviously this is not all but it is an idea of what is to come, we are obviously open to any ideas you as a community might bring to us!
You may have noticed that we’ve started awarding 500 gold to players whose suggestions have made meaningful contributions to Asylum. This is our way of saying thank you for helping us improve and grow together!
Going forward, we’re excited to keep this initiative rolling—good suggestions deserve recognition. We hope this incentive motivates you to put effort into crafting thoughtful and impactful ideas. Your input is invaluable, and we can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

We also want to increase the frequency of patches, no longer waiting and compiling changes but instead push changes as soon as they are completed and tested. more rapid iteration will allow us to react/adapt to community feedback and suggestions more effectively.
We're grateful for your support and we can't wait to hear your feedback and suggestions.

A small note regarding the upcoming patch:

As many of you know, we've recently undergone a transfer of ownership which involved moving stuff and setting up all the necessary systems. This process took more time than anticipated and unfortunately did cut into our development schedule for this patch.
We decided to still move forward and release a smaller patch to prevent an extended time without updates and use this as an example of the more open communication we want to strive for.
We appreciate your patience and ongoing support as we work hard to bring the server back to its full potential. Your dedication keeps Asylum strong, and we're excited for what's to come.
You can expect the patch to be released by the end of this week or early next week.
An exact date will be added here in a couple days
Patch will release on Sunday the 8th of September
    Added:
Tri-Weekly Domination Event Tuesdays @ 5:00PM EST, Thursdays @6:00PM EST, Saturday 3:00PM At the above times Domination will pop on the island.  One of four zones will be randomly selected to be contested. (Sofia, Panagia, Arms Island, Drug Peninsula) For 90 minutes players will be able to spawn at the Domination Rebels and participate at the event, they will be fighting over a pot of the Governors money, and a tax of all weapons and vehicles bought during the event. Players will be paid if they have at least 250 points with a bonus for placing top 5. There is a random chance when a flag moves that one of the flags will spawn a: Hotzone: Points gather twice as fast Hardpoint: Control of the hardpoint goes to the gang with the most players within the flag zone Defuse the Bomb: A bomb is placed at the point, the gang who defuses it when the time expires gains 250 extra points to their score During the event a myriad of optimization features are enabled within the area to delete vehicles, suitcases and corpses within the zone. Players during the event receive 2x blood money for all kills in the zone Hit "J" to see all the gangs and their points Pot counter above the top three on the side of your screen Cartels in the area are disabled during the event, Arms Cartel does not take a cut from the rebels Random Event Additions During the restart we have added a number of random events that will spawn in different locations.  They are able to be contested by APD and Rebels although the APD is not required to attend.  If they are not secured within the time limit they will self-destruct Disabled Vehicles One of the following 3 vehicles are randomly selected to spawn [Ghosthawk (Armed), Prowler HMG, Minigun Boat] Players scroll on the option "Secure Vehicle" If the players gang is securing the vehicle when the 15 minute timer expires they will be able to use the vehicle for the restart If the APD secures it the vehicle will be seized by the officers Rebel Weapons Cache A weapons crate will spawn randomly on the island, the loot table is the following: [Suicide vests, grenades, flashbangs, Katiba, Type 115,  Mk200, LIM, RPG-7, Ak12, MXC, MX, ADR-97 Both variants] Players scroll "Secure Vehicle" to set their gang as the securing group Players will have access to the loot after 15 minutes APD Cache A disabled Huron full of APD loot will spawn on the island, loot table is the following: [Mk200, Suicide Vests, Grenades, LIM, RPG-32, CMR-76, Zafirs, MK1, Spr-17, MXC,MX] [Lockpicks, redgull, speedbombs, element 115, remote explosives, arsonist kits, bank notes, meth, goldbars, etc] Players scroll "Secure Vehicle" to set their gang as the securing group Players will be able to secure the evidence shipment and the Huron by securing it for 15 minutes Hotzone Event At random a cartel point will be selected as a Hotzone. During the event kills within the capture zone receives 2x blood money The gang holding the cartel when the event completes receives a 300k bonus. Cartel Bonuses Gangs will now receive a cash bonus when they fully capture a cartel.  This bonus is tied to the percentage that the gang has captured and the number of players online.  If you capture from 60% up to 100% you will receive less than if you captured from 100% down to 0% and back to 100%. National HQ Admin Event The APD Commissioner has requested the return of the APD National HQ as a base of operations for the APD.  Cops can spawn here and do all of the things that they would normally do in any other HQ, except this one is better The Anti-Air turret/security fense is only active during the admin event though...... unless? No jk its only enabled during the event Event: An admin can activate a raid of the National HQ. Players will be prompted to join via a "9" popup on their screen, they are then put into the raiding group and teleported nearby to gear-up and supply. APD officers are able to spawn in the HQ until the perimeter has been breached to defend their headquarters. Civilians must breach all layers of the HQ security to successfully secure the APD intelligence and receive their payment. APD Weapon locker Can be found at every HQ (cabinet hanging on the wall next to the store npc), allows you to store some guns/clothes to swap between them (CBRN suit for uranium etc) SWAT Rework V1 Please keep in mind this is an early iteration of a reworked SWAT system, there are more changes coming to how exactly this system works but we wanted to move forward with this early version to see how exactly it would affect federal events and the community. We will be keeping a close eye on the system and apply balancing when needed. Loadouts Non SWAT whitelisted officers now receive a scaling amount of "upgraded" loadouts when a federal event pops based on a few criteria, We will be tweaking these values to maintain a proper balance. Amount of opposing players opposing players gear a few other factors The "upgraded" loadouts are NOT SWAT (MK1, helmet, etc) kits. but are bound by the same rules (no dropping gear etc, an updated APD policy will be available before the actual patch) The loadout contains a weapon slightly above that officers rank, therefor increasing APD effectiveness overall vs only buffing a few select SWAT officers Cadet: MXC Constable: Type 115 Corporal: Type 115 / Spar 17 Sergeant+: MK-1 SWAT Garage Based on the same factors as described above the amount of available SWAT vehicles will scale accordingly. Ability to repair vehicles at fuel stations for a small fee coming soon Vehicle garage at storage facilities Loadout option at turfs (these will be separate loadouts due to the different availability of weapons/items) MX Smoke Launcher and Ammo to Skiptracers Gang skins (Want your own?)  Crimson MSK BBNB Changed:

  22. Louie liked a post in a topic by Mitch in A new chapter for Asylum: Ownership Change
    To the Community,

For the past decade, Asylum has been more than just a server; it’s been a home and a community where memories were made. We've seen countless players come and go, Asylum has stood resilient, standing the test of time and change.

The past 12 months have been particularly tough. We’ve watched our daily population dwindle, slowly but surely, culminating in the difficult decision to wipe the server earlier this summer. It was the right call—after 10 years of different owners, developers, and their respective visions for the server’s economy and play style, it was time for a reset.

In a very short time, an immense amount of work went into the V3-branded mission file, both on the front end and back end. For a moment, our population exploded, and it seemed like someone finally had a plan, that there was someone behind the wheel steering us forward. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Decisions lingered for days and weeks, with no one able to rise and take the initiative. Changes on the development side rendered the team unable to make meaningful contributions to the community. Despite the best efforts of HunterB, Akula, DK, and others, without the authority to make impactful decisions, their initiatives fell short.

In light of this, several members of the development team took action, forcing a change and taking ownership of the community. Gaming-Asylum is once again in the hands of the developers who have been making the server run. For the first time since Paratus founded this server, those shaping Asylum's future have both an emotional and financial stake in its success.

Our goal now is to increase the frequency and quality of patches, drive interaction within the community, and breathe new life into Asylum. We’re going to drag this community kicking and screaming into the next iteration of online role-playing games. Whether it’s GTA 6, Arma Reforger, or Arma 4, we are committed to keeping the community going.

We understand that trust is not given; it’s earned. Given the current state of the server, we completely understand if you’re hesitant to believe in promises alone. Frankly, if we were in your shoes, we’d probably feel the same way. That’s why we’re not asking for your trust right now—we’re asking for your patience.

We weren’t sure we’d reach this point, but we’re here and ready to move forward. Transitioning ownership is more complex than flipping a switch. We’re currently finalizing the transfer of everything into our name, and during this time, you’ll start to see changes in staff, policies, and more.

We’re also hard at work on a comprehensive roadmap that will guide not just development changes, but also updates to factions and administration. Once the paperwork is complete, we’ll dive headfirst into development. You can expect the patch notes for a minor update with some desperately needed changes/fixes tomorrow, with the patch itself releasing by the end of the week or early next week.

We appreciate your patience and loyalty through the ups and downs. Your feedback and passion are what keep us going. Together, we’re entering a new era for Asylum, and we’re excited to share this journey with you.

Thank you for standing by us.
    Fitz/Obi/Mitch

Objective: Engage in a high-stakes battle for control over the strategic town of Oreokastro. Capture flags, eliminate high-value individuals (HVTs), and strategize to secure victory. Admin leaders will guide each faction, all kits will be provided free of charge, and each participant will receive a 50k payout. This event aims to foster more server-wide conflicts and make use of a previously overlooked area of the map.
Event Description: In the Siege of Oreokastro, law enforcement and rebels face off for dominance over the strategically significant town of Oreokastro. This event focuses on revitalizing server-wide engagements and utilizing a neglected part of the map. The town features three critical flags: one near each faction’s spawn and one neutral flag in the center. Capturing and holding these flags, along with eliminating high-value targets, will determine the winner. Admin leaders will assist each faction, and all kits will be provided free of charge. Every participant will receive a 50k payout, and the winning faction will earn additional benefits that enhance gameplay for a week.
    Event Details:
    Event Setting:
Location: Oreokastro town, an underutilized area on the map with three key flags: Faction Flags: Positioned near each faction’s spawn on their side of the town. These flags can be captured by the opposing faction, providing strategic advantages and affecting spawn locations. Neutral Flag: Located in the center of the town, worth 5 points. Game Mechanics:
Flag Control: Flags can be captured and held by either faction. Controlling a flag grants points and a strategic advantage: Faction Flags: Worth 1 point each. Located on each faction's side but can be captured by the opposing faction. Neutral Flag: Worth 5 points. Capturing and holding this central flag provides a significant advantage. High-Value Targets (HVTs): Initial Phase: After the first 10 minutes, two HVTs from each faction are marked on the map with a red circle. Killing these HVTs grants the faction 25 points. Final Phase (Last 10 Minutes): The top three kill leaders from each faction become HVTs worth 25 points each and are marked on the map with a red circle. Towers: Three main towers scattered around the town. While these towers offer some advantage for positioning, they are not overwhelmingly dominant, ensuring fair play. Deer Stands: Strategically placed deer stands provide elevated vantage points but limited cover. Roadblocks: Roadblocks are scattered along key roads, adding obstacles and defensive positions. Faction Leaders:
