V2 feedback

First off, Id like to say thank you @Azeh @Gen. Henry Arnold @Jesse etc for putting countless time into this V2 project.

I really enjoy the stability I experienced while playing on the test server.  We ran events, had full fights in Kavala and managed to maintain frames, explosions everywhere, tons of vics pulled, and tons of prisons and banks.  With all that the server hadnt lagged or crashed ONCE (untill you started dicking with some scripts). 

Things I personally Dislike.

  • New vehicle UI
  • Oil Rig Cartel (doesnt matter to much just never liked it)
  • Way the Orca flies (I believe this was patched sometime along the test server being up first day) but at first the Orca didnt fly like it did
  • No new content (honestly can come later and thats fine)
  • Don't spawn with debit card.  Mostly everyone donated for debit card DONT MAKE THIS A COMMUNITY GOAL

Thats all I can think off that I dislike atm it is 4 am and I am tired I will add more later if I find em

Features I would like to see

  • Old Vehicle UI
  • Repair Refuel in garage
  • Vehicle Upgrade and Insurance
  • Working Tow rope.  Yea it sounds stupid but honestly if I could buy a towrope and have double the risk but double the vehicles for drug runs I would love this

Is this actually going to be a thing? I want my fucking debit card every time I spawn in. I can't stand the idea of wasting more time running to an atm everytime like a damn new rat.  

 

@Jesse This is gamebreaking, do something about this ASAP or scrap the entire V2, because I don't want that shit if it comes at the cost of automatic debit cards.

You read it wrong, he doesn't like the fact that he isn't spawning with a debit card.

We definitely need back the Repair/Refuel option in the vehicle garage. Also I personally used a lot the feature where I could acces a house menu from a vehicle. And there is a slight delay before I can unlock a vehicle after spawning it.

  • Honestly, meds at rebel is piss easy to get with infamy.
  • Stops plebs logging in on you on cap. Just run 300 away so you log in where you log out.

  • Only costs 200 to fix and fuel but added another button that does it automatically when pulled might not be a bad idea.

  • The one thats on the server now is dog shit compared to the old one that fucked smokes.

  • Might be a good idea to allow X amount of people have keys to one of your own houses and allow them to spawn there if its close to rebel, donor or whatever. Certain ranks for crates too maybe?

Pretty sure yall are over-reacting without putting in the two seconds to realize you don't have your donor perks active on the test server.

Make a hot key for reviving so you don’t have to scroll wheel. Helps with reviving people during firefights. I also think you should be laying down when you get revived so you aren’t immediately rekilled and you don’t have to spam z to hopefully lay down. Not too big of deals would just be nice to have.

Yeah buys armour, gun. mags and basically all i menu, just saves time in general.

 

Obviously has a load time of like 5 seconds or so.

Increase siren volume drastically. You cannot hear v2 sirens more than 15 feet away. This is Gunna wind up with a ton of rdm reports cause it's honestly bad. Game breaking. 

Fix gang houses.  Everyone who has access should spawn with keys, not just the owner. Makes them pointless as ur just stuck in a locked house if you spawn there. 

Debit cards... debit cards...debit cards...

Bring infamy honor and prestige back before anything else.

I loved that they finally added Tempest Mining truck ! I been asking for that for years! So was highly happy when I seen it in the truck shop! My prayers and preys been accepted and finally fulfilled ! #lovedevs!

A quick loadout button has been asked for before, Would be a nice touch.

These won't be in v2 upon the release, they are among the features that will be added in as we go along.

Everything pertaining to medics/reviving/cop medics will be looked at and evaluated as we get closer to white-listed medics.

I've heard a few people talk about the orca and its flying, i've been unable to recreate these issues and had others test with no luck. I couldn't find anything in the recent SpotREP to suggest any changes to how orca's fly.

Gangs can already own garages, are you suggesting a garage in addition to a house, and vice versa?

Scotch needed more risk. We tried by making barley illegal but that didn't even put a dent in sales. By far scotch makes more money compared to every other method on the server with very little risk and being a passive operation for the most part. Option A was to nuke its price into the ground, but the decision was made to try this out, you might see a few more people robbing at distillery, or cops checking it a bit more but should still be a good money maker.

Default inventory should def be 1, I don't know how many times I've thought I stored something just to find out later i didn't lol.

I'm hoping debit cards just has to do with the fake database the test server is using. It doesn't have loot crate rewards for that same reason

Gang houses I think it should depend on the gang rank. Lets say level 4 you can spawn at the house and unlock the doors, Level 3 you can spawn at the house and have keys.

I'd say replacing user action 3 with it. As currently "T" serves the function to access virtual inventory. No reason for 2 hotkeys for 1 function

Vehicle mods have been talked about and are being looked at, what kind of upgrades would you like to see?

Tow ropes - For the love of almighty yes please! My  repo business thanks you.

 

I would love to see a life server on the Livonia map. 

With V2 seeming to be stable expand server slots back to 100 (and beyond)

 

To finish off, a bit of hype that some many not know yet

We are looking into adding a Casino on the Island in the future as the lottery just doesn't have the flair it once did. - May the odds be ever stacked against you.

White-listed medics are coming 

Better rewards for higher risk operations. (Think old skip-tracer)

 

Overall I think V2 is shaping up quite nicely. Im excited and hopeful to see a server full not lag out. For me it's the small details that are making this, like the better police lights, more RP clothing, additional legal firearms and of course the most important item: Tractors. The amount of work the Dev's have put in, especially over the last few days, is nothing short of astonishing. I can't say thank you enough to them. Here's to brighter days in Asylum!

Consider wiping everybody

would make everybody start the grind again which would be fun

and take out admin crates inside their houses. I know from experience its fuckin stupid and basically allows teleporting around the map. Make them restock manually like everybody else

- Physical vehicle inventory UI will be reverted to the default Arma one. Possibly not on launch as multiple things have to be modified, but soon after.
- Not a fan of the oil rig either. If the general opinion is that it should be changed, it'll probably happen - but not sure when.
- Hasn't been touched at all,

1 - Not too worried for the time being as things are generally cheaper and there's currently medical at rebel.

1 - Are vehicles not auto repaired and refuelled upon being stored now? Likely won't stay that way, but the refuel/repair option will be re-added at that point.

1 - Done about 30 mins ago.
2 - Done yesterday but haven't tested it. Should be on the test server.
3 - Test server doesn't have people's actual donor lvls/achievements. As for everyone spawning with them, not up to me.
4 - Personal priority is: prestige & honor > infamy

1 - It's annoying but done to reduce the amount of spam in logs.
2 - Live servers: not up to me. Test server: not really necessary anymore. Release is close.

I guess no ones clear on the donor lvls...so you are saying here everything is fine there once it is live since test server is its own database?  Then cool.

I mean i lump prestige honor and infamy together, my priority would be prestige then infamy, but if ones done the others should be simplified quiet a bit.  Prestige gives cpl+ a point.  Infamy is honestly needed to make money.  Honor is needed for smaller pings, but the other two affect so many more people.  

Also @Leady I agree on the gang house, thats why I said whoever has access.  As in like if ur the right level.

Haven't updated the server for sirens. I'll do it in around 10.
Yes, nothing on S3 is actually yours. It's essentially a fresh account with some default values set (money, cop level, cop/civ xp)

So With the Vehicle UI being reverted, I assume house UI will stay the same? Personally I'd still prefer old UI for physical gear in house too but I could see the fact that there is no crates there is no physical inventory. Very nice additions to the house though. Like the house light.

To those who are worried about the scotch nerf:

Scotch is the most lucrative and realistically risk free way to make money. Even when Asylum was popping I rarely ever got robbed or caught making scotch. I made 10s of millions off of it. Meth has always been and most likely always will be the best way to make money for your time and I personally like it that way, because it also comes with the risk. If you play with a gang and run meth together its fairly low risk especially if you got people on the construction covering you. This should be what encourages people to run meth as a gang, as it has in the past.

No reason to nerf it now though. People have already made millions off it. Why restrict it for the rest?
