nerf money making and balance shit

The economy is a bit fucked up. its way too easy to make money, and shit is way too cheap

Nerf the following money making methods:

  • weed
  • LSD
  • shipwreck events

Meth, scotch, and cartels should be the most profitable ways of making money IMO. Buff cartels (and turfs)

Increase the following buy prices:

  • Ifrits
  • Helis
  • 7.62 rifles

Because everyone at cartels is in an ifrit (and no one cares if they lose one), and people literally crash orcas into the tower at drug to do a hot drop. It will also promote crafting.

Buff the following money making methods because they are dead and should be better ways of making money:

  • weapon/vehicle crafting
  • cartels
  • meth and scotch

I think this stuff would balance shit a bit better. currently its just too easy to make money. it should be a challenge

Making things more expensive and nerfing money making in response to rich players who have been playing for a long time tends to hurt newer players more.  With that being said, the weed and LSD nerfs are not the type of changes that make them no longer viable.  I'm glad that the days of nerfing stuff into the absolute fucking ground seems to be over

A better solution would be something new to spend your money on. The casino is definitely a step in the right direction. I don't really play much right now but the trend with Asylum has always been, if it isn't profitable or really fun it wont be used. Cartels and Federal events are the prime example of this, they are fun and if you win obviously profitable. I don't have a concrete solution to this, however if there is something that you have to spend a lot of money on it will give the people with 20+ mil a reason to spend their money other then loadouts and vehicles. What made Arma fun for me was more or less having people to play with any time I logged in.  They were always doing something fun so there was always action to be had. The lottery is another good example of an effective money sink that can pay off at some point in time if you put your money into a high lottery pot.

What is with people and trying to nerf everything? 

Asylum imo has a good economy, it might be a "Roleplay" focused server but it definitely brings more PVP than RP, in which case having alot of money makes it more fun for people to buy kits and spend money on cars and guns and go rob fed or bank and rob some retards, than doing runs for an hour and having enough money to buy 3 kits that you're probably going to lose same day.

Leave the economy as is, i also agree with the "add something new to spend our money on" idea. Maybe cosmetic items or something like that, novelty or milestone sort of thing.

Certain difficult money making methods that used to be very popular and profitable are now dead because there are so many easy ways of making money quickly.

when scotch nerf happened i sold all my houses, it takes way too long moonshine is better. Same thing w golden wax, weed is faster than wax. 

1200$ nerf was way too big. 1400-1600 is way better imo, should make scotch the same price too.

cartels NEED to be buffed. at least a 15% increase in money gained. cartels feel so useless atm
