High Value Prison Escort Event.

As it stands right now if you're a menace to society with $300,000 bounty you can just be sent straight to jail. Which is good in concept but imagine if there was a second option.

 

The concept and the idea is that you get a high value bounty and you can present them the option to go straight to prison or we can do an escort event. 

 

In the escort event which would be triggered by a higher up the bounty would be escorted from a random City preferably one far away from prison such as Kavala, Sophia or the Dump. The APD and the suspect would all enter into multiple hunters, striders, or a sport hatchback for all that matters and the objective is to get the suspect alive to the prison. 

 

If the cops win the money split between the participating officers.

 

If the rebels win the guy loses his bounty or keeps his bounty whichever seems more logical and they got all the hunters/striders to chop.

 

Also with the event being somewhat randomly located you could expect a lot of organic fights.

Earlier today I suggested a maximum prison. If we had one of those that'd be a great destination to drop them off at.

What would declare a rebel win? A suicide vest blowing everything up?

As much as I would love for a cop started event, a convoy would be stopped so fast. With rebels having access to 50 cals and mini guns, it wouldn’t take long for the paper thin hunters to be shredded. 
 

plus convoy type events are super susceptible to vdmers, ie. Patrick’s wet dream.

That's why it's a suggestion and we brainstorm and modify/add rules to make it workable.

 

Maybe your not allowed to use sui vest or 50 cals. 

 

Maybe hunters are a horrible choice. Maybe ifirits are a better choice. 

 

Maybe in the event they can't die via explosion.

 

Open for ideas. 

 

Rebels win when they get the suspect and cops give up or lose pursuit.

 

Cops win when they reach the prison.

The win condition should be the same for both sides: APD deliver HVT to prison/wherever; Rebels deliver HVT to designated rebel outpost/whereever in order to free them.

Agree with Austin on this one. The only thing that will survive a .50 is an MBT. So unless the devs want to give the APD access to a police version of the T140K-Angara... 👀

The only way to balance that side of things is to put a server rules in place that says no sui vests or 50 cals. That's additional work for staff to work through reports, etc.

+1 for the idea of a federal event started by cops tho

While this is a good idea the issue with all of these events is the VDM, there is simply no way to prevent VDM with convoys, even with admins running them as an event we still get hit bit jets.
