Community Meeting

Typically the community meetings are more of a AMA or Q&A.

Could Asylum prep some summary of what the status of the server is and future plans with a timeline/roadmap?

Then Q&A can come after?

Also for ideas suggested can a list be generated of what was brought up and posted after the fact? That way everyone sees what was brought up and it’s logged for history. Up to you if you want to make polls on the suggested ideas.

For my question is there a plan to add any old money making back or leave it as is?

For concerns asylum just traded spots with Olympus again so it seems we need some additional actions to keep on top or keep trading places.

I don’t really have any suggestions until I know what asylum has plans for in the future.

We plan to talk about some changes we have coming soon (next patch), and what the longer term goals are.
We hope to create a roadmap/timeline together with the community.

The popularity of V3 only lasted for half a month. lol

The fact that the plan was just to wipe and nothing else is what kills me. They had players back but did nothing to add to the experience. Most of us have played the same thing for years. Just give us some new things to do and a road map...

They were adding a bunch of new stuff towards the end of v2 and max pop was like 30 players on a Friday night.. fact of the matter is there’s not much new stuff you can add to a game as old as arma without mods. Can’t really blame the devs or staff when they’re basically giving CPR to a game that has 30 gunshot wounds

I disagree with some of what you said. It is essential for the staff to actively engage the community and keep the server alive. Despite the criticism directed at Potato on the forums, he is currently the only staff member making an effort to communicate and represent player concerns here. This highlights a broader issue which is there is a lack of accountability from the current staff regarding the state of Asylum.

A glaring example of this issue is the absence of a recap or even a video of the recent "community meeting." This lack of transparency is concerning and reflects poorly on the staff’s commitment to keeping the community informed.

Moreover, when the player count was at healthy levels, rather than capitalizing on this momentum, the staff did little to build on it. Engaging with players and gathering their input is far more effective when the server is active, rather than waiting until the player count dwindles to a fraction of its former size. The recent wipe was intended to refresh Asylum, but the current approach suggests a missed opportunity for meaningful engagement.

It’s time for the staff to step up their efforts and demonstrate greater accountability in making a thriving community.

ideas

I have an idea. What if you guys engaged with the community and released a roadmap or mabye just mabye a patch. Instead of stroking it in a discord meeting how about keep the players up to date with what’s coming. Better yet Mabye speak to the devs and make somtething useful that will keep people here. There’s no need to jerk off in a discord channel if we have players that enjoy the server. Respectfully, since when has Olympus had a community meeting. They just communicate with the community and keep the players engaged which for some reason is the most impossible task for the staff / devs on this server. It’s not that hard to keep a community going. It’s just so unbearable watching this server die already when it can so easily be picked back up.
