Tony Perez
Overview: The idea is to set a limit on how much money a player can have, capping it at 10-20 million dollars. But increasing the rate you could make money. This would encourage players to spend their money instead of just saving it all. By having a cap, it could make the in-game economy more active and help money circulate more, which can benefit everyone in the game. Pros: Encourages Spending: - Players are more likely to spend their money rather than hoard it. - Increased spending can boost in-game activities. Reduces Wealth Inequality: - Limits the amount of money the wealthiest players can accumulate. - Promotes a more balanced in-game economy. Stimulates Economic Activity: - More money circulating can lead to more in-game opportunities. Makes it easier to make money: - Encourages more fights Cons: Implementation Challenges: - Players might find ways to hide or transfer their money. Unintended Consequences: - Could lead to instability in the in-game economy if not managed properly. Edited August 1 by Tony Perez John Lemmon, Rocketneo, Veras and 1 other like this Link to comment
Charks
-1 this a dumbass idea, some players like to make a long grind to be in the position to then never grind again and do what they actually enjoy doing like pvping all day...Not everyone wants to worry about being a farmer. Link to comment

I think the point he's making is that maybe "never grind again" is a precursor to people just quitting the server. Rocketneo, John Lemmon, Veras and 2 others like this Link to comment
Charks
Whereas some would quit based on the fact they have to constantly grind over and over, i know i sure would. Link to comment

Relax lol, i simply put this here because people were talking about it and hunter said to see what people thought. And 10-20 million would be more than enough to not grind for a long long ass time HomeUser likes this Link to comment
Akeelagi
I think there is a double side to this. One I agree with the money cap. If money needs to be grinded for then that player interaction around the map will keep happening and that is what drives the server at the end of the day. Especially when the cops get bored and log off civs can still fight and grind and interact. The other side I can see is people seeing it as a never ending grind and just getting burnt out and leaving. I don’t know we keep both sides happy but maybe the devs can figure that one out. Introduce an xp system that allows you to use a skill tree that increases your max bank. So as you play the server you level up and unlock skill points that allows you to put it into certain things like max bank, movement speed increase, repair time increase, etc. I honestly think a skill tree would be better than our current quest system but I think they would also work well together Tachophobia and Tony Perez like this Link to comment

Re-introduce the talent system but a la skill tree. Civilians, cops and even the useless players who add no content (medics) can all use it and upgrade their experience. Could also unlock certain titles and achievement colored names via unlocking the end of a certain skill branch. Chris Peacock likes this Link to comment

I didn’t wanna say reintroduction to the talent system but I think the limiting flaw of the talent system before is it blocked players from basic fundamentals of the game (like holding an mx or pulling an ifrit). I like the idea of a talent system that you only upgrade the basic fundamentals that you already have Link to comment

The XP idea would be a good re work Link to comment
