There were quiet a few people who commented on my last topic giving me helpful information and things I needed to fix. So I thought I would give this another try.

Before I explain I am going to give some backstory, I am currently 14 turning 15 December 31, and ever since I joined the Asylum community I've wanted to be in the APD (about a year).

However I am not able to join because of my age, @Jack Hoff made amazing points which I will take advantage of, like not describing myself because that is bias (like saying I'm mature and ready, etc.). However I can tell you I will try everything to get into the APD, or improve my chances of getting into it. I received a lot of support by people such as, @Jordan Walker, @Pugsley, @L1on, @BioHazard, @Vanilla Coke, and I yet again thank you for that. A few people said I couldn't join while Durga was around, but now he is sadly retired, so I thought I would give this another chance. I am willing to try any tips that will improve my chances of joining the APD.

Thank you for reading,

(I will be editing this to add/improve the topic.)

Part of it is I want to be a police officer irl, as about to be in my cities police explorer program.

Another is just the experience of it, the roleplay, etc.

I won't lie. Age requirements could stop those who are mature and ready to join. But they're in place for a reason. And by giving ONE person a change. Would mean giving everyone a chance again. But that's just my opinion.

If you let one person to become a cop below age limit then you cant say no to everyone else that would come asap. It's the same IRL when i  was working as an intern one of my friends that was working a lot asked for a raise because he wanted to build a house so he needs more money. He didnt get a raise even tho he deserved it because than the CEO would need to give everyone else a raise if they come asking.

Being a police officer irl and in game are different?

I understand they are different in most of the ways, but the general idea is the same, right?

Or am I just completely missing the point.

I mean. You do you boo

Just warning you. Its nothing that will help you later in life or give you any sort of idea.

Once upon a time, the age requirement to become an APD officer was abolished. We saw a good handful of young bloods that had a sufficient amount of maturity, but we also saw our fair share of kids who could not maintain the levels of maturity and professionalism that are expected of officers. For this reason, it was chosen to stop sifting through the lower ages to find those good few. At one point I would have supported you, but in reality there are already plenty of immature people that are 17+. Destroying the dam would simply flood the staff members with too many incompetent applicants.

I can respect your determination to join the APD, but unfortunately I, along with other people, can't see the ratio of good to bad being viable.

I can see how if I managed to somehow join others that are underage who were previously declined would feel disrespected, what if I somehow fixed that problem?

Would my chances rise?

What if I join, it puts a spark of hope in others, instead of making them feel sad or mad they get determined  and set a goal for themselves as I did.

I'm sorry if this didn't make any sense to you.

Being a cop IRL could not be any different then the APD. This is hardly even a roleplay server anyways. The only similarities between real life law enforcement and this shit is what you refer to yourself as.

If you want to actually roleplay as a cop then you are better of on battlefield hardline or trying to find a minecraft roleplay server. There is nothing here that will help you relate to what it's like.

Apd squeakers get a lot of flak anyways as nobody takes them serious

If I'm being completely honest, there is things like that I would love to improve.

The stereotypes against people who are younger than you, such as calling them a squeaker, etc.

If I ever get into the APD, there's things I would love to change, like having people respect me and others despite our age.

Don't be a money hunger joke

It's actually not about the money, I was told on numerous occasions to just be a bounty hunter because they get more money, but there is no role-play in being a bounty hunter, I didn't enjoy it, I'm completely positive I would like to be an officer more.

I disagree... fucking kavala trolls are like half of the people on Cops...

Well yeah people don't give a fuck what a bounty hunter has to say cuz they have no power all they can do is send you to jail.

Officers get some respect cuz they can pardon/reduce tickets etc.

@Ren Zero I feel for you bud I really do. I will tell you this it's not the cool cop experience it used to be. It isn't even rp anymore it's just a bunch of whiny teenagers and men playing cop to make money. I managed to get corporal with high hopes ofor rping under cover and nowadays civs are so whiny it's not worth it.

I think you would enjoy your self role playing as an  under cover cop while on civ, I'm sure you could do a great job and have a lot more fun. I have tons of fun rping on civ , and I can't seem to find any fun left on cop.

Thanks for the help,

I could rp as a civ, but what other civ would rp aswell?

There's only a few cops that rp, but I could add to that few, knowing that I could make a civilians day because I roleplay with them drives me to try to get into the APD even more. Thinking I could potentially bring the fun back to the APD makes me try harder and harder, I know for a fact that I will not stop trying to get into the APD, even if it takes me 2 years.

I find that you can get into situations where people RP just off of how good you RP. I've had people go along with the crazy things I do. I mean half the reason this server is fun to me is because of the things I create while playing.

I log on and just think of something I want to do, Taxi Buisness, Joined a little kid and made a hitman buisness the other day, Held a Court Session in kavala where we executed the guilty, Run escorts for drugs and things, the game is endless. Thats what I love about civ

@Ren Zero Like Biohazard said man we can't do too much for you I understand that you wish to join the APD quickly but sometimes we don't always get what we want. However maybe with the new captain you can speak with them about it but can't tell you for certain if you would get in or not. Also if you wish to discuss the matter of have any questions feel free to msg me (Sgt Kenneth) on TS anytime. I will say for the time I've been in the APD it's been an amazing experience and I've met so many cool people and I've seen some come and go. Hopefully it'll all work out for you and you will be a member amongst the APD.

PS: Sorry for late response forums were down.

-Best Regards

                         Sgt. Ken
