Well sir,. Of course they are.  But you can also check out trailers, apartments, hotels, condos, a tent, and under a bridge.   There are many different types of arrangements for you to choose in this world.   I for one chose a house.   It's nice I have a gaming room where I play arma 3 at.   

 

To to sum it up , if you don't want to be homeless, houses are your best bet

depends if you can get on beneficial .   Like near a drug processor or rebel outpost because you can spawn in these houses, and if your a donor you can store shot in them , you can also get garage which you can pull vehicles out at
