BI does a lot right, but they still have a lot of issues. Optimization is unfortunately not one of their strong suits.

It would be nice to have more prisoner options when no cops are in range of the jail on Server 6. Not being able to pay bail, request a trial or press plates without intervention from a cop is honestly frustrating. I understand that the purpose of having the jail set up like this is to give more RP opportunities and I think it's great in theory, but it doesn't seem to be practical. There are just too many times when there are either no cops online or no cops at the prison. It can get really frustrating if you go to jail during off hours, whether by turning yourself in or by being turned in by a bounty hunter. Normally there aren't any cops online at those points and if there are a few cops online, they aren't focusing on the jail. Even when there are cops online, you can't message them to come let you out of the cell room. I know that you can technically glitch out of the cell room to request a trial or pay bail, but you shouldn't have to exploit to do basic jail activities. And there's still no way to open the doors to the yard to press plates. I think a good solution would be to have all inner prison doors be operable by prisoners by default and allow cops to engage a lockdown. Place a timer on the lockdown that turns it off after a certain period. That way we can still have prison RP opportunities when cops are interested in doing so, but players in jail are not hindered when cops are not. Another option would be to just move the license plates and bail payout/trial request NPC into the cell room.
