EMT question

Just curious, if I have my guy kitted out on civilian and I decide that I want to try EMT (one the appropriate amount of time has lapsed). I then log onto EMT, what happens to my civilian character? Are they treated as two separate characters?

They are totally separate in all aspects; minus bank account and bounties. Playing medic isn't going to mess with your civ gear at all.

The two sides are separate but you cant play medic if you have a bounty on your civ.
