Obviously I can't get into your directories and monitor any packets coming in or out. Considering that you are getting 100% packet loss when you just simply Ping the server, points in the direction of a DDoS attack. Also the manor in how the server was acting, prior to the "offline" stage, points to one as well. My questions are just basically; Was it in-fact a DDoS attack? Or was it due to Server Maintenance? If so, what is being done about it? Do you have any type of Mitigation, or Cloudflare services? Was the server Null Routed? And if there's anything I could do let me know, I know I'm new around here but I worked on servers (VPS's & Nodes) for many years. I owned my own hosting company about 5 years ago and have been working with this stuff for quite sometime. Hopefully the server comes back up soon, I really enjoy playing on it. Thanks for reading!
