Very nice list. Thanks. Very thorough. I appreciate it. I have no problems finding parts, just want to find other suggestions. A sandwich not made by you always tastes better.

This current one is prebuilt and it is literal trash. Don't get me wrong, I can still play new games and it is 5 years old, but it is def. time to upgrade.

So I got a got my tax credit of $3,000 this year, so I am going to try to pay a few bills, put some money back, and upgrade my PC a bit. I have a basic idea of what I wan't to upgrade, but wanted recommendations from other peers. Figured I could toss $1000 at my PC without feeling bad, so that is the budget for this upgrade. I have included links to each of my parts in the titles for convenience. What I Have CPU: My CPU is still standard from when I bought a pre-built computer back in 2011. I am currently running an i7-2600 3.6 GHz. While this chipset leaves little to be desired, she has done me well so far. Motherboard: My motherboard was also stock in this pre-built ASUS garbage. Currently sporting the less than luxurious ASUS CG8350. Doesn't seem to be bottlenecking speeds as of right now, but might after the upgrade. Memory: My memory has been updated recently, it could still use some work, but is far from the worst. I am currently running 16 GB of DDR3 1600. SSD: My SSD is used for office applications and Window boot only. Only games that go on my SSD are those who have huge benefits, such as Minecraft. Nothing special, 120 GB SSD I got on black Friday for super cheap. HDD: Nothing special here, just a 2TB data-drive. My hard drive had crashed a few months ago and I bought this as a recovery. All I cared about at the time of purchase was it being 7200 RPM. GPU: Literally the worst thing in the case. Still from when I bought the PC a PNY Nvidia 460 GTX w/ 1GB of VRAM. What I Want: I only have a few specification on what I want. Must meet the budget of $1000 Must be Nvidia ShadowPlay compatible What I Am Buying: This is a section for what I have decided to buy as of right now. Keep this as a basis for the other categories. While these opinions can be swayed, its the optimal choice I have, as of right now. Case: Rosewill THOR v2-WWhite Edtion, Gaming ATX Full Tower I appreciate you all for helping. Just trying to find some people to bounce ideas off of. My peripherals I have actually spent quite a bit of money on, and they are all up-to-date, so that is a battle for another day. That being said I will be buying a new desk chair.

The point was the validate my credibility. I have to go through more hardware and software courses than your typical I.T. major. How am I an idiot? I concisely articulated my point. SSDs do not show a increase in noticeable gameplay outside of load times.

Yeah, but we got a HEMMT out of it! Server 4 don't play

Lets compare the two on an even playing field. Once again here is ANOTHER technical website stating the EXACT same thing. Here we compare an SSD and a HDD under the exact same conditions. Look at that...almost identical frame rates. Please tell me again how I am wrong. Save your money on an SSD and buy a higher end graphics card, because with a 7200 RPM data-drive your bottle neck will be the GPU. Also, putting a game on your SSD will SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the lifespan of the SSD, as an SSD can only have so many writes before it is toast.
-
Why do you think the mission file is downloaded? All this is loaded into memory. You will maybe see enough performance increase to see a difference, more than likely you will not.
-
All-in-all this is a good build. Increase the rpm of your data drive to 7200, and maybe thing about a smaller SSD IF you want to save the money. Make sure you invest in a good case as well.
-
Again, putting your games causes nothing more than slight loading time decreases, and if your other hardware is up to par, nothing else. There is also SEVERAL guides that recommend not putting games which makes several writest on your computer, as they significantly decrease the life off the SSD. This is why you turn things like paging off. Please, go back ton A+ you fucking moron.
-
That is literally the only performance increase you will see, and they won't be significant. I use SSDs for rendering videos, and encrypting data, that is it.

Yes I did. Faster hard drive rates show minimal improvement on video games. Most games are loaded into memory whenever the game starts. Please tell me how I am wrong with my 10 years of experience, and 4 years college degree in ethical hacking.

The RPM on that data drive is to slow. For a build of this quality drop Windows 10 and add a WD Black Edition drive. While on the topic of hard drives drop the 500GB SSD, pick up A 120GB for less. All you need on your SSD is the OS and basic office applications, games don't benefit from it.

Did you just upload your on ban request?

I am currently in the market for a rebel base. I have a preference to north rebel. I am also looking for a warehouse base, prefer near DP11/Athira
