So what's up with vehicles despawing?

The other day i was driving a group members Box Truck, i was probably about 6km away from him when i got pulled over. As soon as i stepped out of the vehicle it just disappeared. The cops swore it wasn't them. And this has happened probably another 4 times now since then. If we don't use the vehicles for more than 5-10 minutes they'll just disappear even if we're right beside them. Is this a server anti lag thing, a bug, or are we just stupid?

Its good to "refresh" your vehicle even when gathering.

 

Tap your trunk, unlock it and lock it, hop in and out of it.

 

They despawn for a reason.

2. keeping your vehicle safe

 

I personally haven't had a vehicle despawn in anything under 10 minutes, ever, in nearly 3 years.

 

Just be conscious of your vehicle.

Vehicles despawn if you don't interact with them within 10 mins, so make sure you always at least open the trunk

I once was driving an Offroad, as soon as I got out of it, it despawned. Funniest shit I've ever seen

Maybe you should pay your bills and it won't get repo'd.
