  1. they can make it so you can't fly it... just saying
  2. although I do agree on some of the above posts points...i have to waiver still away from medics having guns. too easy to pay off a medic to down someone who shot someone to revive and have it turned around. i still think medics should be exempt from being robbed or stolen from. killed if not following someone's orders yes... do not revive... boom you revive and that's all you hear. we are here to help you not give you a extra punching bag to abuse. I left major city yesterday and was immediately robbed and shot for no reason other than I didn't have a med bag to give the guy. I was flying over to help someone who had gotten into a car wreck and my helo was shot at even though I carry [Medic] tags in my name.... what was the point? I was at 200m above ground at full speed not overt a red zone. this is why I think we need to alter how medics are treated if they are white listed. we are advantageous to cops and rebels and the people just trying to survive.
  3. in reality it's two different positions... and should be treated as such. it needs to be it's own division with its own rules and leadership. pd has their thing... let medics have ours. now I'm not saying cops shouldn't be allowed to be medics... just apply like everyone else. the biggest thing a medic branch like this brings is roleplay. you don't have a gun... you don't have cuffs... you can't run drugs. all you have are words with a occasional heal/revive. keep this in mind while you're battling against it... roleplay used to matter and I know it's more relaxed now... but this could be a opportunity to bring a big part of it back.
  4. well then medics should be auto white listed for cops
  5. my biggest concern with just throwing it together is the depth. if there's nothing to work for... what's the point. I think 7 would be too much but then you aren't expecting a lot of players so those that stick with it would appreciate it more. there are some of us (myself if you haven't noticed) who would go full career pending the incentives were there.
  6. still think the best option would be getting rid of civ defibs but that's obviously not a crowd favorite. in a roleplay scenario not everyone can be trained to use them... otherwise back to my original point with them... if everyone has them... what's the point of medics. or a reduced like you said would be good with either expensive refills or overly expensive defibs
  7. obviously more slots would need to be alotted. and people will choose career medics.... if you build it.... they will come
  8. if it's implemented it would be a position.... that's like saying what if there were no cops online. you can't rob fed unless there is a certain amount of cops so pass that onto medics. less feds maybe but more organizing other then just "we're bored lets go rob it"
  9. I will always revert to rp in any example and this is a perfect one. kidnap the medic take his phone and tell him if he doesn't keep people alive you will kill him and his family... boom role played.
  10. or kidnap a medic for fed and force him to revive
  11. yeah it's not hard to fix small things like that. but the bigger picture is too have white list medics. the minor things will be worked out if this goes thru
  12. uncalled for really. it's a given... you abuse something there's consequences.. no one was questioning that either. thanks for the caps... it highlighted what I needed from you. lack of understanding and patience.
  13. everything can be abused... that's not being questioned.
  14. currently from what I see... Medics don't want to leave because of the very recent conversation about being robbed. so there's deff a problem there. kudos to the good points though
  15. the devs could even code in the clothes thing just as easily as the vehicles... if a civ puts the clothes on the skin goes away automatically.
  16. but the police have a way to defend themselves... Medics don't... we don't have back up around the corner. if you make them untouchable they can do their job which is to heal and revive. it shouldn't be gambling on whether they will survive if they take a drive to help someone.
  17. maybe make medics untouchable in the sense they are a full out non combative role. medics cannot be robbed you can only roleplay killing a medic with a hostage situation or a don't do it or die (reviving someone)
  18. I wouldn't think it would limit you from accessing it. sometimes you just need to shoot things... or people lol
  19. that is a big step in the right direction. and a massive save on a headache
  20. this is a opportunity for something other then shoot outs. keep a open mind about it. if you have career medics instead of random... response time is gonna be better. people are actually going to care about getting to revives instead of just going "oh that's too far screw it"
  21. but you want this to be a workup to gain more access. I'd be ok with a hemmt that can tow vehicles that are broke down. but I wouldn't want a starting medic to have access to that. or even a variation in colors (different design same colors)
  22. a more viable vehicle option would be like a unusable version of the vehicle without the permission. for example when you make it ok to buy a vehicle on the server... you have to specify which classes can buy it. there's also a option to eliminate who drives it. they just have to duplicate the vehicle. skin it for medics. then only give the perms to medics
  23. 1. Create a medic chief position. 2. Create ranks affiliated with the medical industry and have to work/ have time in to get. (medic student, nurse, triage dr etc etc) 3. Each rank has the ability to certain things in a escalation type climb. - Med student on foot - Nurse with SUV - etc etc 4. Make it so it's a coveted position to have that requires rp and basic knowledge of the role. 5. Don't leave non white list spots. 6. Remove defibs from anyone not medic. This one sucks for a lot especially cartels... but unless you make it a hard talent point to get to sacrificing other needed skills to survive as a rebel... what's the real point of a medic. 7. Ensure there is a career with it for players that wish to pursue it. Played career medic on other server and it was a blessing and the most fun I've had outside of being a cop. I'd volunteer as trial white list medic. And would love to help make this a reality in any way.
  24. sir, that's a tall order. as much as I'm sure they would love for you to do that... you don't want that kinda reputation. plus you'd be at it for days!
