You may be given the option to comp the player IF the player agrees to this. The admin has the right to make the decision if it is acceptable or not, on each situation. Not a common practice, this is usually handled in-game between the players, if you do agree to this and you do pay the person keep some video of the agreement, but even then its up to the admin to decide if it still warrants a ban to take place, comp or not.

A simple apology and admitting you did wrong will go a long way.
