Ebola
Alright guys, After receiving a new 1080 because the first one appeared to be DOA, I have found something quite interesting. If my monitor is even slightly tapped it will cause my whole computer to shut off and reboot itself. I unplugged the monitors power and tapped it and also shook my desk lightly and could not re-create the problem. Now if it is in fact the monitor causing the issue what is a possible remedy. Monitor is ASUS Ultra Wide pg348q Link to comment

Clint Beastwood
Sounds like your 1080 needs to be seated more firmly in the PCI-E slot. Make sure its secure, your video card or any parts for that matter, should never move during operation. Its most likely rebooting because power is lost to the accessory (1080) during operation. Your computer doesnt know what to do when that happens so it will restart. Link to comment
