A lot of people complaining about tanks & apcs probably wouldn't if they had limited field of view as they do in first person. Lone armor is very easy for infantry to kill.
Unfortunately 1pp is a population killer. Hopefully the game mode is popular enough that we can have 2 servers, but we'll see.
Not only do they not like first person only, they freak out at any mention of it. It's like we're taking candy from babies.

No 3rd person First person only. Yeah I play HC KOTH pretty much exclusively now. Would be nice to have another server other than that though.

Yeah I'm sure that a 1pp only would be less popular, you are right. But as long as it has a high enough population that it's fun, it should work. Unless they just want more donations I guess. However, your same logic applies to other games like COD or BF where you end up with the same experience every time because the developers are too afraid to make content that is different.

It's more like this, assuming I like Beiber. I go into a bar, I don't like the music. I suck it up and stay, spend a lot of time at the bar. Then, I find out that the owner is opening up a new bar. I lightly suggest that he consider trying some Beiber too because the vast majority of people prefer Beiber over that disgusting Rock. Then, a massive wave of his previous customers decide that they alone get to choose exactly how the new bar is run and everything that goes into it, because hey they are loyal players. BTW I played tanoa life all the time, so it's not like I'm just some new guy who is demanding it be how I want it. I'm part of the community. Just not the same person as everyone else is.

Not trying to offend but i've just been around a long time on Asylum and actively follow suggestions/discussions, the asylum community will not stand behind it.
You can edit your main post and then insert a poll for this thread, go try it and we'll find out
Because your argument is nobody would play a 1pp only server, I'm showing that people would join, just maybe not the people from the life servers. I know that asylumers despise it mostly, but you guys aren't the majority of arma players and that's the target audience.

Popularity doesn't define niche, it's niche because it's the only game of it's type. And that's actually why it's so popular.

I don't think it would be a success in your community because they are all so used to 1pp only, but other communities in arma would kill for it, so I'd post a poll on arma reddit, not on this website.
