  1. I get kidnapped everywhere all the time lol maybe it’s just my luck or how I interact with civilians, but I think it’s kinda ridiculous how often it happens and that there’s no consequences.

I don’t think Constables should be able to break down houses, but I’d be for more ranks being able to help.

  2. Hey, I don't know how to receptive the feedback will be towards this post, but I'd like to have a discussion about over-excessive kidnapping and downing of APD members. I feel like this has always been a problem, but we've all grown accustomed to it being part of the game. If you get kidnapped, you're just screwed for ten minutes. No big deal. But it happens, again, and again, and again to the point where at least 40 minutes of my 4 hour gameplay is spent in restraints or pitch black.

I want to make it clear, I am not salty about any particular event that occurred recently, I actually enjoy roleplaying with my captors to a degree. We've all accepted we're gonna get kidnapped at least once or twice during gameplay, but I feel like that it slowly drives people away from playing cop. I feel like kidnapping a cop should have more repercussions than it does currently. Once we're inside someone's house, we're fucked unless a Lt. or above happens to be playing AND is willing to separate from their TS clique to come assist in breaking you free from their house. Personally, I feel like the chances of both of those things happening is really rare.

We have awesome mechanics for the Bank, Fed, Prison, and Lockup, yet there's not a mechanic that allows for cops to stand a chance against BHs that have the same level of weaponry and vehicles, better armor, and player housing. I understand the necessity of protecting player housing, but I think the level of protection plus the combined strength of bounty hunters is resulting in negative gameplay consequences.

My suggestion? I'm open for ideas, honestly. I think there should be a way to counteract kidnappers by officers lower than Lt. in a way that protects player storage and prevents possible abuse. I think there should be an entire rework for raiding houses. There could be a certain set of conditions in the guidebook that allow for cops to use battering ram-esque items to knock down doors to rescue captives. For me, it sucks seeing 5 civilians locked in a one room shed and being virtually unable to do anything about it myself.

I don't find it enjoyable to see fellow officers in that situation. I don't think it's necessarily fun to have to ALT-F4 after ten minutes of being blindfolded because there's no chance in hell anyone is going to be able to save me. I know its a light roleplay server, but it kinda just takes me out of it. As a civilian, it doesn't really bug me too much because I just act omega stupid, but as an officer who's supposed to always be in-character, it just doesn't feel too right.

    Thanks for reading!
