How is everyone liking the aging of liquor?

Items on the ground clean up on the 2nd cleanup script that is run since they were dropped. So items persist at least 5 minutes now. The days of instant despawning items are gone.

We will be building a full theme shortly. Let's see where we end up after that.

I found an exploit with the aging process, so we went ahead and fixed it. As for the aging process only happening when you play, as Hap said that is by design. Also, has the fog toned down? I haven't had a chance to play as much as I would have liked this weekend so I'm curious.

Along with the change to the day/night cycle, we have reinstated weather syncing. The hope there is that you will see a lot more clouds and rain than before - especially in the winter like it is now in Lemnos. The fog should be mostly gone as well - or at the very least reduced. When you think about night time, it really was green screen time for people who left towns. Paratus' point was that NVGs are ubiquitous in Asylum. Almost everyone has them and wears them. I think the stars look great as well, but if I'm driving down the road without NVGs I tend to hit more things than if I have them on (OK, I'm a terrible driver either way). Also, if you had to respawn at your house, then you were mostly out of luck trying to fumble your way inside (without gamma hacks that is). The PPE that was put in place makes the game "pop" more than the default version. I get that everyone is entitled to their own opinion on that, but there are lots of people who like the way it looks with that filter on. It takes some of the drab out of the island for me at least.

Or just keep trying. It took it 2 times, and the 2nd one took a few minutes. After that I can (mostly) get onto the servers.

In regards to the PPE that was put into place with this patch, it was nothing sinister. It's something one of the devs made a long time ago, and I always thought it looked nice. I showed it to Paratus while we were testing the patch, and he liked the way it looked as well. Sometimes things are done just to make the game look more polished, not to remove the "feared gamma goggles". I had no idea it would force people to use NVGs at night rather than gamma goggles, but honestly NVGs (or you know lighting) is how you should see at night in the game.

Is it always dropping $0 now when someone ultimately dies? Can anyone chop Ifrits or .50 cals?

One other thing that was not listed in the hotfix notes: Open up your map, and check out the updates to all the notes etc on the map screen. Thanks for updating that Gnashes!
