Question about Storage Containers in House

Searched for an answer and have asked in game just to get mixed responses, so I come here for clarification.

This question is about storage containers in your house and what happens if another person gets inside your house.

Is that person able to access the inventory and steal from or destroy your container if they get inside? So being shot down entering/leaving a house is extremely dangerous or is there no problem in other people getting in your house?

If the house is unlocked, then the crates are unlocked too.

Alright, so making sure the outside of the house is clear before entering/leaving is vital as failing to lock results in losing your stuff. Got it, thanks!

You dont need to unlock your house to access your inventory.

Only if you are letting someone look inside your shit .

Best trick: Use "U" It will only unlock the door youre looking at and not your entire house. Leaving your crates safer than they would be if you used the scroll option to unlock everything. Once you press U over the door it will open, then you can scroll wheel close it and it stays locked.

Yes always use U to unlock your door and U to relock it. You can access all crates inside even when locked. 

@bamf I was told people can destroy your boxes (tons of ammo, RPG, etc) is this true?

Dont quote me, but I have heard around the water cooler that they can but they come back at restart or something to that effect.

Yes your stuff comes back after restart, even if they blow up your crates.
