It's 2016... what happened to scope equality

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our community.

9 days ago, a great Lieutenant, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, attempted to create Optic Equality. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to hundreds of Rebels and Cops who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their inequality.

But 8 days later, the Optics are still not equal. 8 days later, the life of the Rebel or Cop is still sadly crippled by the inability to use the scope of preference and the harassment of power hungry admins. 8 days later, the members of this community have been told unless a solid argument can be forged optic equality is frivolous. 8 days later, the scope is still languishing in the respective side whether it be Civilian or Blufor and yes the scope still finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we have come to this point on this forum to fight for our equality. When the founders of this movement wrote the magnificent words of the Suggestion and the comments, they were signing a promissory note to which every Asylum member was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all scopes, yes, ARCO as well as RCO, would be guaranteed the right to be used on whatever gun, whatever side of the spectrum you were on.

It is obvious today that Asylum has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her members are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, Asylum has given the people a kick in the balls, a kick which guarantees that we have no power. But we refuse to believe that the power lies in the leaders and not in the people. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this community. So we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the scope of our choice. We have also come to this hallowed forum to remind Asylum of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of optic justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quick sands of optic injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of Alan's children.

It would be fatal for the community to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the community's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Two-thousand fifteen is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the members needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the community returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in Asylum until the optics are given to all. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our community until the bright day of justice emerges.

But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of inuria and cheatengine.

We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Asylum community must not lead us to a distrust of all admins, for many of our admin brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. They have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone.

As we fight, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of optic rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the optic is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of  admin brutality. We can never be satisfied, as long as our members, heavy with the fatigue of battle, cannot use the scope of their choice on the weapon of their choice on the side of their choice. We cannot be satisfied as long as the community's basic structure is rebels, cops, and cheaters. We can never be satisfied as long as our weapons cannot use the scope we choose because of the message "For Rebels Only". We cannot be satisfied as long as a member in a police uniform cannot use an ARCO and a member in a cartel cannot use the RCO. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from the recent bans. Some of you come as a reminder to the community that we are all in this together. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Go back to Drug Cartel, go back to Pyrgos HQ, go back to South Rebel, go back to Air HQ, go back to Arms Dealer, go back to the slums of the Highway Patrol, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

I say to you today, my friends, my enemies, and my acquaintances so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Asylum community.

I have a dream that one day this community will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "All members are equal"

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Cocaine Cartel the future gangs and their future rivals will be able to shoot at each other with their scope of choice.

I have a dream that one day even the Air HQ, a HQ in the midst of rebel territory, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be a place where the ARCO is purchasable and usable.

I have a dream that one day my friends will be able to look past whether they are career cop or career rebel and focus solely on their optics of choice.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day, down in Kavala, with its vicious RDMers, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Kavala, RDMers Combat Loggers and Exploiters will be able to join hands with officers using the same scope.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every scope shall be available, every scope shall be usable, the scopes will no longer be about which side you are on but which scope you prefer,  and the glory of the Lord Alan shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the Ban Channel with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our community into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be able to use the optic of our choice one day.

This will be the day when all of Alan's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My community, 'tis of thee, sweet forums of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where the cheaters die, land of the admins's pride, from every cityside, let freedom ring."

And if Asylum is to be a great community this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of Cocaine Cartel. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of Highway Patrol. Let freedom ring from the war-state city of Kavala!

Let freedom ring from the blown up Meth Cartel Tower!

Let freedom ring from the overlooking Pyrgos HQ!

But not only that; let freedom ring from Sofia!

Let freedom ring from Donor Town!

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of every Rebel. From every HQ, let freedom ring.

And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every city and every cartel, from every HQ and every Federal Reserve, we will be able to thank Alan for Optic Equality, Civilians, Rebels, Cadets, Constables, Exploiters, Racists, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Community spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, Optics are free at last!"
