  4. He spoke enough Engrish to be fair. I have faith if Ranga applies he'll make a fine officer.
  5. What garbage is this @iFox, partially quoting a thread? Just give the link and let people read for themselves.
  6. Reminds me of Triceracop with all those groin shots. Besides he was wearing the APD issue cup.
  7. The amount of tears if rotolib were forced on would refill Lake Mead ten times over. I vote YES for forced rotolib.
  8. Your definition of a complaint is awkward and flawed. This game and it's designer, Paratus, takes input from it's community. He doesn't act on all of them, he takes some of the input, and he designs according to his wishes. My stance that I disagree with a day only life server is my stance. And I would wish that he would bring it back to the way it was for over 2 years until the recent change. Your assertion that I simply switch servers to help you avoid an unpleasant truth is analogous to a child throwing a tantrum. This is the suggestion and feedback forum is it not? I have stated my disagreement with the current day only design, offered feedback, and my case is rested.
  9. Translation: Oh noes. The game is too difficult for me. Since when was Arma about having the perfect environment for fighting? Never. It takes the feels away
  10. I don't care about the green. The night can always be programmed to not be as dark. Adjust the moon rise. Etc. I paid $ to play Arma because of the day and night cycle. Now it feels flat just having sunny days and perfect weather. And the challenge of night. Fighting in it I miss.
  11. I doubt test mode got you banned. But you need to put the OS on test mode to run programs that bypass kernel integrity checks to run software debuggers, or malicious programs that hijack memory to inject all sorts of stuff. BE is pretty intelligent, and well good luck. You likely ran some app that BE had flagged as a signature of a malicious program.
  12. There's a new captain's suggestion box posted in this area: http://www.gaming-asylum.com/forums/index.php?/forum/72-suggestion-box/ Please use this area to post confidential suggestions, questions to the captains regarding. This area will have a sticky with guidelines on what topics can be posted, how we'll treat input, and such.
  13. There's over 1,400+ (I lost the exact count of members) of the APD in Asylum. This makes the APD the largest "gang" by far. It's part of the core game design, and the game affords a lot of people who play as APD the ability to have extraordinary powers. Such as unlimited restraining, seizing, impounding, etc... There are measures that have to be put into place, and disciplinary measures are dependent solely on the roles of humans who are by nature flawed. No system is perfect. Some points I will reiterate as I read some of the posts here are a couple of points: The promotion process to corporal is open to anyone who applies after meeting minimum requirements, which includes the ability to interact with other higher ups. The interview process is meant to be open, but is closed for individuals who cheat, lie, or otherwise manipulate the system. There are rarely second chances if you fuck up at this stage. Because if you can't be trusted to pass an interview, you certainly won't be trusted with more power even as a cadet. Cadet behavior are all over the board. And unfortunately they can reflect poorly on the APD in this game, and often times require constables or higher to guide them. And some individuals in the pool of over a thousand players, aren't interested in receiving instruction, correction and learning about how to be a good cadet. I want to reiterate that SGT's threatening discipline, should be reported. That is wholly unacceptable. It is the responsibility of LT's or higher to discipline not SGTs. As for my contribution to this thread, the use of lethals continues to be abused by the force. It's a rampant issue, and one that the captains are aware of that are monitoring. It varies by community (server), and the IA system is in place to report problems. Even if you don't have video evidence, report it. Even if a report has "No Action Taken", don't be disheartened that we aren't aware of it. The captains review those reports, the LT's review those reports, and we can see patterns develop. And lastly, there is corruption in the force. We the captains know about it, we take action against it where we find it, but the system isn't 100% perfect.
