  1. Not quite, but they were just fantastic fun! Thanks man, appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed inorite?
  2. Last bit of decent footage I good from the fabled Aussie Life server! Enjoy :3
  3. Yeah, old-ass footage, but a tribute to that awesome server Part 3 on way soon.
  4. Haha no mods for the cinematic, just painstaking use of unitcapture/unitplay and camera SQFs to get it all in one shot! Thanks for the comment, man A-thank you, sir! <3/<3 Ruff! How's the health? haha thanks man Thank you very much - took me a week!
  5. No one knows the time this has taken! haha Let me know what you think! The Gent
  6. So far, looks pretty damn similar - poppies, heroin processing, all the turtle spawns, Wong's even the cartels are all in the same spot - and take the same very long time to take over - I've had time to type this all out while I'm waiting. As are drug dealers and I think drugs - maybe cocaine's moved a little I can't quite tell...? Same with the quarries - if they've moved, it's not by much. Chop shops appear to be same spots. The whole of WA, including Darwin is still a redzone, black market production, and most rebels still in the same spot. Adelaide is still a useless city that could be better utilized. Most if not all of the DPs appear to be in the same spots. I don't understand...what was changed and what was hoping to be achieved by the changes? Things you sell need to have a higher value - that is problem number 1 with this server. That is the reason the server is so unpopulated and we've tried to explain that to you - if it takes so damn long to make money, we won't play. And we're not! The prices and distances are still the same, so you're still getting the same ridiculously low wage for something that takes 10 times the effort in the Altis server. Please. Fix that. Make it actually fun to play! A higher wage would be a great start. $35 is atrociously unbalanced. You literally get more on benefits in terms of ability to buy normal food items IRL. If you ramp up the value of cash to such an extent, it just means so much more when you lose it, rage-quits and just general not playing are the result - this is proven by the single-digit population. Regards, The Gent Edit: fun update: now the cartels give "dirty" money, so, as an example, when you are in the middle of the desert capturing a cartel, within maybe 50m of your car, of course it despawns and of course you can't get a car out using dirty money and of course the nearest town is over 6KMs away...so fun! Also, can't quite work out what's going on with stamina - shows about 3/4 of a bar able to be used, but only fills up a few millimetres before going back to empty while still and not overly loaded. Might just log out now... Sorry guys, whatever you did hasn't worked it's still not fun I'm afraid :/
  7. Sounds promising. I'm hoping this makes it not such a grind to make money (which appears to be the reason for such a low-pop server from what it was when it first opened). I'll check it out now and report back Regards, The Gent
  8. Never had any framerate issues or really bothered with lack of scopes etc...I had a problem with how little money you made for how much effort you had to put in. I loved the map, I loved the mods, I just thought it was a complete oversight that money was the same value in Australia as it was for Altis, despite the distances travelled and, by association, the risk involved were much larger. If the prices were tweaked to accurately refelct the risk/reward/effort involved, I know my friends and I would start playing again. As it stands, it's not worth it. I won't play the modded Altis version as I hate the map wholly. As an FYI, there is a USA map on the workshop btw, if you wanted to try that one, but I think if you made those changes to Straya, it'd get populated again. $45 wageis a joke as an example, where most servers offer $500-$1000 every 5 minutes. If you increase the value of cash, it means a WHOLE lot more when you lose it as it's such a grind to get it back, whereas on other AL servers, where cash is easy enough to come by (do one heroin run, have enough for a helicopter kind of level) and therefore the back and forth of losing this vehicle, getting robbed for this and that isn't as frustrating as it is in Straya. I don't play games I don't enjoy. Regards, The Gent
  9. So...might you guys maybe start listening seeing as the average server-pop is now more like 30 at most times in the day, whereas a few weeks ago when it started up, it was almost always full like the Altian servers? There's no shame in being wrong, but it's pretty piss-poor if you can't admit it and make moves to change it imo. From most of the feedback and responses on this thread, it appears the majority agree. Look forward to your response and hopefully being able to play on a nice full server that isn't just Grind Simulator 2016 soon! Regards, The Gent
  10. I mean, sure after you have put the time in taking the cartel and the turf, ususally controlled by the biggest gang on the server at the time...but that's another thing that irks me about the server - it implied in the map notes that taking turfs was more about getting all the turfs in order to make money, not just one - what does getting one turf do? Do you need to collect the cash like the cartels? Also, is the arms dealing cartel broken? (couldn't find the fridge, made no money direct to bank) Regards, The Gent.
  11. I would be interested to know what runs/methods you employ. You're claiming you can make $300k in between server restarts on Aussie Life? As far as I can tell, turtles are the most profitable - the payout being around $15k a backpack, roughly 3 backpacks in a run w/a speedboat (=$45k). Assuming everything goes in your favour, I'd estimate the max you could earn from that from a couple of hours is around $180k. Of course the above estimation presumes the following: DDOS/server instability isn't happening, there are no campers/cops at any point, you are making the best time you could with turtles spawning generously (around 30 minutes for a Melbourne run), you don't have to go to the market for food or gun store for more ammo, the price doesn't drop for some odd reason mid-sell and you own the cartel, removing your tax obligations. Regards, The Gent
  12. Also, I missed it first time, but you say chops...I thought the chop shop was broken?
  13. I have no doubt you play legitimately. Would it be fair to say you have an advantage in that you are aware of all the locations to go, bugs to avoid and values of trips though and that you have donor status and all the perks that come along with it? Also the fact that you're all admins, means, generally, you will be playing together a lot of the time. Not all of us have the luxury of having our gang online most of the time for big, slow runs. Also, non-donors can't access the Home Depot to my knowledge, therefore, buying a house is a major waste of money. My gang did likewise and pooled our money together for a 250k gang house and have ended up with a useless spawn point, with no ability to store any goods. We're not likely to donate with how all of us have said we're just not enjoying the server. And we're all Aussie. Regards, The Gent
  14. I've been playing for about 8 hours a day for the last 4 days on Asylum, I've done turtles, cocaine, weed, arms dealing and scavenging wreckages as my higher-value trips. Even taken over the cartels with my gangs, holding a couple of them for 8 hours and the other for over 24...we have made $1700 from gang funds. I don't really feel like I've had a fun time yet...which is insane. I'm all for grinding, but to be fair, most Altis/Taki life servers, if you grind for a couple of hours, you can get 250-500k, enough money for a helicopter or big vehicle...but in 4 days of near-religious grinding, my bank account is *nearly* $100k. IE: 80k off from being able to buy an M900 - the most base helicopter. Please believe me when I say I am certainly not new to "Life" servers, my Youtube channel proves that point, and I appreciate that the other servers I'm on have higher costs, however, I'm talking in terms of tangible assets - affording a helicopter/truck after maybe 5 decent runs of a drug. Maybe 10-15 runs of legal. The market seems to make no sense - you never know the value of anything as it's always at its "base" value which is always so damn low for everything. I had a friend spend like an hour doing an oil run. He found out he was limited to 1 barrel in his boat and ended up netting a whopping 4k...the time involved to make money on this huge map seem incredibly disproportionate to the wages and I feel it heavily needs tweaking. Additionally, legal runs have near-0 incentive to go for...if I have to bust my arse on a drug run for pennies, why would I do a legal run for even less? I know those with prestige crossing over from Altis servers probably will have no issues at all with the costs, but I'm assuming that would be because there are discounts and higher 5-min wages involved for them. Not all of us have the luxury to put that time and effort into a server. Just as a last point for those thinking down the more hardcore RP route I can say as an Australian resident IRL, Australia has one of the highest wage structures in the world. It makes no sense to not be able to even afford a mid-range car after 5 oil runs... I don't know, I haven't heard many complaining in sidechat, maybe it's just me. I hope I'm not the only one experiencing this. I can deal with the plethora of RDMs, campers and ARMA/Life mod bugs, but only if I am able to earn enough money within a reasonable time to actually start having fun on the server without worrying about losing gear as it's just so hard to make it back again. Regards, The Gent
  15. lol there's the first time that's EVER been said... What are the current donor incentive levels? When I go to the donate page, it tells me I've never logged...and I have played Aussie Life religiously for the past 4 days.
  16. Hi there, I can't find the correct forum to report players, can someone please lin k me to it - they were both civs. Thanks, The Gent
