Would this run Arma?

I would prefer a gaming laptop around $800 because I need something I can take to school easily so laptop suggestions would be preferred but if there is no good gaming laptop at that price a PC build could work too. Thanks in advance to everyone who posts this is very important to me. I really need a good laptop at a decent price so like i said thanks again for any help!

it would run arma very poorly, you're not gonne get good fps at all with that laptop...

I used to have the desktop 960, ran arma ultra 60 fps. In regards to Asylum, everything pretty much very high. 

So the 960M should be descent apart from the thermal throttling it will encounter.

I mean im worried the 2.60 ghz and it can't be overclocked could be too low. you think i would be decent though?

Well that was a long time ago, but when I used to play asylum on my GTX750 and Core i7 laptop, I could get it to run on medium/high with 30+ frames when servers weren't packed.

 

But back then it was a lot to stuff into a laptop, so I gave over 900 bucks for it.

Put the money to a desktop...but if you must...that WILL be playable for most people's standards.

If you travel a lot sure get it then but if you only sit home and play then simply get a desktop.

yes it would run arma fine...

 

i play with a gtx 660, amd fx6300 OC'd to 4.0 ghz

 

and 8 gigs ram and i can run arma 35+ fps packed servers and recording.

 

but you could get this same specs if you built the pc yourself, for half the cost.... sooooo, build your own homie

@Eric916 I would suggest you look into the ASUS G series laptops as being an owner of 2 of myself I was able to take it to class and run ArmA on high with 40 fps while plugged in of course. The newer models are also getting slimmer and better.

Laptops will never be even close to desktop performance.

Build a mini tower pc  easy to take with you if your going to college.

I really suck at this if anyone is willing to send me a link to an affordable yet powerful build I would greatly appreciate it. I just suck at matching components I don't know enough lol I'd probably put together some shit build without even meaning to lol
