I don't want to put out names, but these people were definitely not sergeants before. This was back in like September last year when they mass promoted. I'm not saying they didn't deserve it, but they just moved up in the ranks hella fast.

I've been a constable for 7 months and honestly can see where Krypton is coming from. I've watched cadets find their way to Sergeant in a matter of weeks. I've watched LT's break server rules and get banned. And I've watched some of the most known higher up's yell at an entire teamspeak full of officers because they weren't happy that their master plan of hot dropping a huron full of cops in an open field on 15 rebels failed. Don't get me wrong however, there are great Sgts, Lts, and Captains. Honestly I think their are 2 kinds of higher ups A. The one who has earned it because they have grinded out cop life, have made a good name for them selves, and have proven that they deserve to be a leading member of the APD community. B. The one who applied at the right time, had roughly 50/50 civ-cop, knew the right higher ups, and really didn't think they were going to get promoted. Some cops are dicks, and some are strict. It would be nice if the dicks knew the difference.

Technically speaking you aren't allowed to reduce someone's ticked by more than %50 without a SGT + consent from what I recall.. And if they allow officers to reduce peoples jail time then they would have to put some sort of restriction like they did with parole. (Non evasive / aggressive)

There is no "training" in the APD. Just rules and consequence for breaking those rules. Reduced jail time would be abused.

I can understand how this might be abused, so what if it was worked like this: Officer gives civilian $40,000 ticked. (Civilian has 3 manslaughters so is looking at 45mins in jail) Option Box for Civ pops up with 5 Options: Refuse Ticket Pay %25 - %75 Jail Time Pay %50 - %50 Jail Time Pay %75 - %25 Jail Time Pay %100 - Free to go Then if they pay 25-75% it will send them directly to jail. (The 5 option box would only show up if in a send to jail range)

Im curious how many times people are going to remake this topic, and then be demoralized when every tells them to fuck off. If you actually played on this server for more than a week you would understand why night time is shit.

I think Paratus is just way more dedicated. It's obvious that their isn't really any profit in these servers, but the pure joy of knowing you have built such a big community is satisfactory enough.

Since we are on the topic of initiation: I've put in a couple of reports where people shoot at my car, I get out and aim my gun, then they shoot me in the head. The admin says "No action taken, he was shooting at your vehicle, and you returned hostile roleplay by aiming at him". erm then wtf is the point of initiation if you can just shoot at peoples tires immobilizing them, wait till they get out with a gun, then shoot them in the head? I think that you should not be allowed to shoot at someone, whether your hitting their tires or helicopter, without properly initiating.
