Starting your own gang can sometimes be fun man, it's harder and more rewarding to beat these bigger gangs than to join them. It's all about havin' fun and having a large enough bank account for endless fights.
Another thing, get a few of your friends and just go contest cartels whenever someone is looking to fight or is fighting, it's good experience and you're doing it with your friends so it really doesn't matter if you win or lose, they'll be okay with it. I don't like the whole getting into a small gang thing but it's how I came up. Also, a bunch of hours helps like ~2.5 to 3k is excellent (AFK hours are impossible to track btw )
Instinct was the first (and last) gang I was in that fought cartels a lot (I 1v3'd an Ifrit the very first fight, how's that for standout? ), but other than that I don't know of any smaller gangs that contest often, but I can't play anymore so look for gangs that do that and you'll be set if you perform well.
If all else fails become a great pilot and you can get into any gang, most gangs are looking for pilots.

Just a thread talking about what kinds of weapons we want in the upcoming modded server. 
I'm personally hoping for a wide variety of weapons, hopefully its not just the traditional AK's and M4's.

This is a pretty sad patch. Granted, the couple features might be useful but it's a very small update. The reason for this is that we spent time this week exploring a modded server, now that Arma's launcher makes installing mods a bit easier.
Next week you will most likely see our first modded server. To start, it's not going to be very different from regular Asylum servers in terms of gameplay, but it will feature new guns, new vehicles, and more. It may even be on a whole new landmass.

A new phone call option has been added for calling 911. This will initiate a phone call with the current 911 dispatcher. The police dispatcher can now assign waypoints to all police officers. This will add a marker on their map as well as on their HUD.

Fixed bugs with dropping your virtual inventory on death. Scotch and sea turtles have been added to the dynamic market. Australian police officers can now purchase the offroad as intended. Fixed car spawn points in Brisbane. Added a salt trader to southern Australia. Fixed issues with jury duty on Australia. Fixed a bug with storage crates being added to new house types on Australia. Vehicles on Stratis and Australia will now come back to your garage properly.

Hi community of Asylum. I'd most likely get a forum warning from this but who cares. I'd like to personally call out a certain player and awarding them for Saltiest Bitch Award.
Kitui, the player in question recently hacked our gangs teamspeak and banned everyone from it.
Now why am I saying this? I'd like to give everyone here a warning. Do not accept him into your gang. Do not trust him.
People like him should be a part of our community. Why? It soils the name of Asylum.
Kitui is a racist, arrogant son of a bitch. Admins feel free to give me a warning or lock this thread but do not delete. I want to prevent any other gangs and players to not make the same mistake we did.
Also I'd like to see who thinks that a person of this Darwin Calibre should be removed from this community. Please feel free to add experience you had with him.
