Not sure but I got a house a few weeks ago that had 3 crates in before i bought it and once it sold to market they where gone.

People used it to exploit, giving none donators crates so they fixed it so crates get removed.

Just remember if you sell the house all crates will be gone when they re-buy it now. So id sell/ transfer the contents separately.
