Ive built a few, I was just curious what the price differences were on an exact replica so I put together all the numbers and provided it thats all. - Its also a matter of, the time spent building is time I could have spent working so it may end up being worth less to build it. All depends The last windows I ripped off was probably about 7 years ago that im still using from a fake boot usb that I changed the reg keys for. Hi Everyone, I appreciated everyone's help on the other thread I made so I put together some notes I took down on the price differences incase anyone was wondering. Its essentially around a 300 dollar difference to have it prebuilt. If you take into consideration the free game, free rgb lights, cheap keyboard / mouse you could argue that its a 150-200 dollar mark up for it being built. I don't think most people will give a shit about any of those things though. Write up: Prices: *******Building myself******************** 1. Prices through one single merchent: Amazon was generally the best - 1,263.33 without video card , 1,763.32 with (1170 estimated 499.99$) Amazon has combo deals that end up making this the cheaper route if you dont want to deal with rebates. (Or they may be a bonus even). 2. Prices through combined vendors Mix of 3 - 4 vendors saves you roughly 40 bucks (And most of its mail and rebates), $1725.53. If you don't count rebates its actually more since amazon bundles cpu and mb -> 1768.55 Note: This is with the 4 year warrenty on MB, Ram, CPU. + Video card warrenty would be 3 years for 8.92 or 4 years for 59.85. I would probably add the 8.92 lol. ~ $1734.45 Benefits: - More selection of parts , which in my circumstance I love a certain case and want to wait for the 11 series card. - Amazon deals and CD for my own windows for future reasons. - No Shipping nightmares as amazon is usually pretty good with that. - Quick easy returns. God that sound like a nightmare. - I can build a PC with my eye's closed but its just the area I have to work with it would take me 3 or 4 hours to get it built and installed properly so I was thinking in terms of 4 hours working vs 4 hours building. Ill post the number of a comparable build in a second here - you kinda get forced into buying a GPU though which would be kind of stupid to buy a prebuilt right now with the 11 series coming out. (Although I could just give the 1070ti to my brother or something)

Well ive built three on my own, loved every minute of it and had no issue's. The problem lie's with the fact that I just got promoted at work and in two weeks I a bat shit schedule and I was thinking to my self either I need to build a pc now or look into buying one prebuilt because I won't have the time after that.

Thats because there's an NVIDIA conference that should be happening (today I think?) to announce the official release date of the 11 series cards. They also promised to get stock on the 10 series cards and moving forward they would get more cards in gamers hands for the new 11 series

Yeah, thats a big thing for me nowadays. I just can't spend all that time gathering individual parts online or driving to microcenter to find out one is acting fucky either right away or down the road. I like the idea that you can just contact one source for it all

I would probably wait until they released the 1170 anyways but I just like to get a game plan before this kinda thing rolls out. If the prices are jacked up on rebuilds at the time of the 1170 release I may just build it my self otherwise prebuilt if theres reputable vendors

I get your frustration as its annoying to lose your gear but I wouldn't let it bother you. The clothing / y inventory you lost isn't worth much and you would make it back in the time it took to make this post. On top of that you have to understand that this little activity pops up once in a while and its a way for the governor to make his money back from what they invested in their "Campaign" as they get paid per death row member killed. It boils down to a fun activity thats acted upon by greedy corrupt governors and it is meant to steer the votes for the next election. Its also old as fuck as others mentioned. As for the APD getting buffs and updates well that maybe true but lets look at what that boils down to. You have a cop force full of people who don't know each other that well and aren't ideally comfortable playing with each other. This means there already at a disadvantage on top of the average rebel loadout compared to a cop loadout. It's up to you want to fight cops who are half brain dead and poorly equiped all the time but just remember eventually they will quit and there will be none for you to fight. As for the rebel tree, yeah its in a list of things they want to add, but lets be honest what the hell would you want out of a rebel tree? Some special talent that takes 10% off your mark 1? I don't think some silly talent tree is what you all want, I think you would rather more content and a stable place to play. The less shit you add the better the server performs.

Nah, I still love siege and ranked is one of the most enjoyable parts of it. I just dont play as much because I refuse to play without atleast 2 other people on my team that I know

Its more a matter of principle - why would you pay the same price for something thats two years old when it will have a new model for the same price. For me that annoys me enough to wait personally

They will not last long, 449$ for a 1070 ti is about the best fucking price your going to get right now. They will announce the 1100 series I beleive on may 30th at the NVIDEA press conference where they will basically confirm the release date of july/august. If you don't know those specs or have any concerns here is a link to the leaks. https://wccftech.com/873853-2/ If you are not in dire need of a video card you would be a wiser man to wait it out and try to get one of the 1100 series on release or possibly bank in on a price drop from a 1080 / 1080 ti. I don't know exactly the benefits of GDDR6 vs GDDR5 but the specs are relatively close between an 1170 and a 1070ti so you wouldn't be a fool if you decided to settle for one now nor would I blame you if you wanted to wait and try to scope out a newer card. However remember these types of things are based on stock, miners:to:nvidea-gamer-clause being an actual thing, and just pure luck at the time of release purchases. One other thing to possibly help your decision - the 1070 ti and 1080 ti are the only cards from the 10 series that aren't going on two years of age. I would try to stick with one of those two if you can't wait / can't manage to snag one on release. (1080 ti will still likely be the best card for some time to come unless this GDDR6 technology is insane - as I dont know shit about it).

I think they should go with my plan from the start: 1. Go Rogue start deleting all of their friends off of steam 2.
