I NEED HELP

I'm normally a really tech savey guy and can find my way around any issue.  About 3 weeks ago my PC stopped connecting to the internet.  I haven't really tried to fix it until today when I spent at least 5 hours trying to fix this issue.  I have reinstalled my network and ethernet driver both 2 times now and still nothing.  My router is fine because I am still connected to wifi on my laptop and my brothers PC(ethernet).  I also know that its not the cat5 in my room since my brothers PC still works and I have tried a 150ft cat5 cable right to my router and still nothing.  PLEASE HELP

Have you tried, unplugging and plugging in the internet cable?

your network card might just be bad, happeded to my moms PC the other days, bought a 6 dollar card and it runs fine

While I've never had a Network card fail myself, I do believe this would be cheap and easy test of the problem.  Try you brothers in your computer if he will let you.  Best of luck.

i had the same problem when i first built my pc but i just reinstalled my motherboard drivers and that fixed it

if i was you i would try upgrading windows to 10 and if that doesn't work the problem is from your motherboard

 Open the adapter properties and make sure TCP/IPv4 is enabled, and that the properties are both set to "Obtain...address automatically".

Ya already did that.  I ordered a new network adapter so ill see if that works

What mobo do you have? Try reinstalling Lan drivers

Would suck if it was his onboard lan and it was giving him the subtle hint his mobo is going out.

my network adapter on the bored went bad.  Just got a new one adapter for like 2 days and have a new MSI bored coming monday or tomorrow.  Depends if amazon wants to be nice to me since they always come a day late.
