So from the sounds of it,

you logged out while this guy was shooting at you and your friend,

logged in a nnother server ,

got in the big tower,

stared at him for 5 minutes until he told you  - you could gear,

and shot him.

No, I was there and I was sitting in the open with my hands up. My game crashed and I logged back in imminently. They killed me when I logged back in and I came back with a rook. I walked up the tower and I noticed him in the deer stand as I went up the main tower.
