Reckout
Hey guys, im thinking about applying for the APD. Anything I should know? I read all the rules and guides already. Is it worth it, i enjoy RP alot and i think it will make my experience on Asylum alot better. If I do get accepted, anyone wanna be my battle buddy? Lol Link to comment
Mike Stmria
Make sure you understand the server rules and the guides, then apply and you will have a lot of fun. Most awsome way to roleplay. Olivia likes this Link to comment
Murmurs
Cop is awesome, but make sure you got a thick skin and slow to anger. People will always try to screw you and rdm is real. Other then that, there is no reason to not become whitelisted. You can still play both cop and civ, so you aren't limiting yourself, you're expanding. Olivia and Reavantos like this Link to comment

Sky
Being on the APD is always a good break from civ life. Gives you many opportunities to RP without the chances of losing $20k worth of gear. It is also a good way to meet other players. Being an officer is also a privilege, so don't abuse your position. Play fairly and be considerate when interacting with civilians. I'll be PMing you some extra things to remember for your cadet week if you were to be accepted. Remember, YO DAMN VOICE IS YO PRIMARY WEAPON. Bersabee and Olivia like this Link to comment
Olivia
If you already read the rules and guidelines you're head and shoulders above most people when they apply lol. But yeah there's no reason to not apply for cop, since you don't have to commit to cop or civ. It really opens your eyes to see the game from both sides. Most regulars and veteran players are constable at least, whether or not they play cop regularly. Just make sure you know the basics about being a civ first and have your 14 days played. Sheriff Rick Grimes
You'll make tons of money. And yes, don't turn into a cunt that goes out of their way to piss off civilians and squeeze as much money as they can out of them. Bersabee and Olivia like this Link to comment

George
It's honestly a great experience, you'll get into the more RP side of asylum, as others have stated it's best to keep a level head as civs will troll, or do anything to piss you off. Overall it's fun and I encourage you to apply Link to comment

Reavantos
It's a fun experience. But like murmurs said. you need to have some thick skin. Patience, and self control. As you can see in this thread, Some people just hate the APD and assume everyone in it is terrible. They never give people a chance then wonder why they get treated like crap. treat people how you want to be treated, and set a good example. (TLDR: dont be so salty to the point you cause dehydration. Treat people Fairly) and dont be like this guy below! | | | \/ Link to comment

Dredge
I have been enjoying it but like was mentioned thick skin is a must. And be ready to get shot/shot at a lot. Word of advice though, when talking with players in a city make sure you are aware of your surroundings and are keeping the other players back. Nothing worse than trying to deal with a ticket and being pistol banged from behind Link to comment
Actaea
Once you realize the average age for most players on asylum is about seven and being in virtual restraints is the first time said child is being disciplined in their entire life and will say anything to spite this, you'll be fine. I also suggest that you play with officers that care more about rp than the size of a person's bounty. Olivia likes this Link to comment

Sergio
Have fun with the RP. be aware that there will always be guys who are "reporting you" and just overall attempting to get you into trouble, so always be recording, and always be able to justify your actions. Buckwalter
Always try to make situations fun and cop will be infinitely more enjoyable. Some people want to roleplay as a law and order hardass, but cutting people some slack will lead to a much higher caliber of roleplay generally. Also, be careful with your flashbangs. Can't stress that enough haha. Olivia likes this Link to comment
