Bounty Hunter Taser Inquiry

Recommended Posts

Bounty Hunters often use the MX assault rifle (or some MX series variant not sure which exactly) to down their targets. How many bullets does it take to "down" a player with an MX "taser"? How do tasers react when striking a player wearing armor? How do tasers react when striking a wall or car? Do(Does) the script(s) that create tasers alter the performance of the bullet or do they retain all the properties of a regular bullet being fired from an MX assault rifle?

I'll try to see if the mission file has any data on this

Same as lethal ammunition - instead of killing them, it is programmed to "down" them.

[No Armor]

1 shot - Body / Head

2~3 shot - Legs/Arms

[Tactical Vest]

2~3 shot - Body

2~3 shot - Legs/Arms

[Carrier Light]

3~4 shot - Body

2~3 shot - Legs/Arms

[~w/ Helmet]

1~2 shot - Head

^ Really depends on where you get hit.

Flat surface = 1 shot

Edge = 2 shot

Penetration (MX ; MXC have same penetration value as 5.56mm)

Penetrate (MX):

  • Thin metal fences
  • Wooden doors
  • Pretty much most of the houses (1 layer of wall)
  • White walls (commonly seen on major cities - 2meters in height)
  • Doors and glasses of certain vehicles : Offroad, Hatchback, SUVs, & Jeeps
  • etcs.

EDIT: It is a "rubber" round, not a taser.

Are you on crack? Its 1 shot in the head even with a helmet and 1 shot in leg or arm when you have no armor.
