  1. Like the man said” apd is a faction designed to lose”

if you set the apd up to win fights against the strongest gangs then you would just stomp the younger or new gangs. The server would window down to apd vs big gang until either no one was left to play cop or no one left to play in the gang.

in my eyes APDs main roll is to give gangs a toy to play with. If we happen to get lucky enough to get some new players and they decide to move toward starting a new little gang and start moving threw what the server has to offer but just get destroyed by the APD every move they make they will stop playing. Same would be said if a large gang just stops them in their tracks. Insert the apd here. They combat large gangs. They SHOULD crest fun interactions for new smaller gangs as well.

If we want the server to survive the old guys need to remember to groom and share the fun of the server with the new guys. If your gang of 20 push and push a guy and his two friends that just decided to start asylum And create a gang just to see where each other are until they aren’t having fun what dose that give you long term? No one to compete with.

if those same three guys save up enough to get some gear and try robbing someone and the apd just stomps them and hit them with heavy fines over and over again then the same thing will happen.

now after all that. Don’t join APD if you just want to dominate those your gang are not strong enough to fight.

  2. It’s a slippery slope. When I played Apd and would do my best to be cool... it works and creates a lot of fun. But if you get a reputation of a cop that’s cool then it tends to make you a target. It still creates a lot of fun at times but be prepared to get kidnapped a lot. And have lots of run ins with people who know you won’t throw the book at them. Best thing you can do is  join apd and be a good example for the cadets you raise.

  3. APD should have the advantage due to how easily outnumbered they can get. Most the time from what I have experienced the reason APD seems to always win is because of the communication and team work required by their guidebook. That’s why a gang that isn’t shit usually beats out apd

  4. I never understood why people said you don’t make money on APD. I have came and gone over the years doing all kinds of new guy stuff from doing diamonds to turtles. Even to running oil barrels and selling helicopters. Tried bounty hunting and Booz. But I was never someone to really grind well. I found myself depending on the quick p07 and a zip tie lucky bounty grab to make money for the nights fun. When I joined APD I took the role less as a cop but more as a responsibility of creating fun situations. I think it’s on APD to make interactions fun and make players want to play. If a new player gets on and you take everything he has and send him to jail he probably won’t be around long. If a new guy is getting robbed while he is mining and he calls the cops and they all ignore him because they have a potential to catch more money elsewhere then the system will seem broken. To many cops think every one on the game is a vet and rich but it can be tough to play if cops don’t help you while you get robbed doing legal work. And take you to the bank over minor charges. I made my first mil as a cop and I almost never give a ticket over 1000 bucks. I would get enough money with seizing items. There is no need even as a money hungry cop to issue big tickets. Issuing fair tickets is part of the balance of economy and time. If someone just spend a half hour of there own time harvesting something illegal and I show up and seize them. Now there time has been waisted. But if I can insert a fun Rp and a ticket that doesn’t hurt then they are more likely to come back. I know some like to pretend that they just want to be a cop. But if you stop everyone from braking the law then we as APD would have no purpose. Atlis life  balances on the battle of good and bad constantly going at it. I enjoy when some one seeing me roll threw pyrgos and decides to do something just to spark off a fun time. Even with salty people that don’t want to talk I will just keep saying “come on bud give me something.” And even if they slightly RP even a “ I was in a bad mood so I shot him” I cutt theM a brake and next time I’ll get a little more from them. Sorry for the soap box especially coming from someone that nobody knows. I just can’t currently play and it’s driving me nuts 🤭

  5. I feel like a list of bountys with there price should be available at the hunter shop. Nothing more frustrating then having four bountys for 5k on the other side of the map. Especially while you watch people rack up a bounty in the same town as you.

It would make promoting team work a little more efficient as well. If you and your team have the same bounty you could stagger your tracking timer.

dknthkng maybe easier would be to allow us to drop a bounty and re roll for a new one

  6. I think the drug slot needs to directly combat the drug trade.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is a United States federal law enforcement agency under the U.S. Department of Justice, tasked with combating drug smuggling and use within the United States.

-The DEA Special Operations Division (SOD) is a division within the DEA, which forwards information from wiretaps, intercepts and databases from various sources to federal agents and local law enforcement officials.

I think the SOD would be the easiest to include. A quick example I can think of would be a ping when someone has dealt with a npc in regards to drug processing. maybe make it come say 5 minutes give or take before the ping to simulate a informant calling and reporting the incident and then a the drug officer has a time limit to find them before they are considered lost. but while they are on the hunt they can come fast and hard to find them.

-Special Response Teams (SRT) missions consist of High-risk arrests, Vehicle assault, Specialized Surveillance, Custody of High-Profile Individuals, Dignitary and Witness Protection, Tactical Surveillance and Interdiction, Advance Breaching, Tactical Training to other police units, Urban and Rural Fugitive Searches.

I kind of like the idea of after maybe a drug slot officer that dose not succeed at catching his pray then can become marked and tracked in some way. SRT could receive notice of this and spend the next set amount of time keeping him from being killed.

the DEA also has a Aviation Dev. I feel like this could be used in many way ie: insertion of tactical teams, visual air support . maybe even a bird that can be used for offense
